One Piece Reveals Its Most Popular Character as WT100 Global Fan Vote Results Announced

One Piece has officially revealed the final results of its second worldwide WORLD TOP 100 character popularity poll, settling the global ranking after several months of voting by fans around the world.
The results were unveiled across ONE PIECE DAY ’26 at Makuhari Messe, with positions 100 through 31 announced on August 22 before the final 30 were revealed during the main event on August 23.

WT100 returned around five years after the franchise’s first worldwide character poll and allowed fans to choose between 1,567 characters from across Eiichiro Oda’s long-running story.

Voting ran from March 4 through June 11 using the dedicated WT100 website, the ONE PIECE BASE app and physical voting methods, with the different totals ultimately combined to establish the final global ranking.
Taking the No.1 position was Monkey D. Luffy with a final score of 2,378,519, allowing the Straw Hat captain to repeat the victory he achieved in the original worldwide poll in 2021.

Luffy also comfortably surpassed the 1,637,921 votes he received five years ago, meaning he has now topped both editions of One Piece’s global popularity contest.
Roronoa Zoro finished second with 2,148,793, retaining exactly the same position he held in the first WT100 and finishing only around 230,000 behind Luffy.

Zoro was the only other character to break the two-million mark, creating a sizeable gap between the two highest-ranked characters and the remainder of the field.
Sanji climbed to third with 1,399,204, improving on his fourth-place result from 2021 and moving ahead of Nami to create an all-Straw Hat top three.

His position remained unchanged from the poll’s midterm rankings, giving Sanji his best result across either of the two worldwide WT100 contests.
Nami took fourth with 1,007,955, dropping a single position from her 2021 result while remaining the only character outside Luffy, Zoro and Sanji to finish above one million.

The result also keeps Nami inside the top four for a second consecutive worldwide poll, underlining how consistently popular the Straw Hat navigator has remained with the international fanbase.
Trafalgar Law completes the top five with 732,301, matching his fifth-place finish from 2021 and once again becoming the highest-ranked character who is not currently a member of the Straw Hat Pirates.

The same five characters therefore occupy the worldwide top five as they did in the first WT100, with Sanji and Nami simply swapping third and fourth while Luffy, Zoro and Law hold onto their previous positions.
The remaining characters in the final top 20 are.
6. Nico Robin

7. Portgas D. Ace

8. Shanks

9. Dracule Mihawk

10. Crocodile

11. Donquixote Rosinante (Corazon)

13. Tony Tony Chopper

14. Sabo

15. Uta

16. Carrot

17. Rocks D. Xebec

18. Yamato

19. Usopp

20. Loki

Several characters made sizeable moves between the midterm and final rankings, with Dracule Mihawk producing one of the biggest jumps by climbing from No.31 to ninth.
Crocodile also moved from 15th into the final top 10, while Carrot rose from 29th to 16th and Loki improved from 21st to claim the final position inside the top 20.
The appearance of Rocks D. Xebec at No.17 is another interesting result, particularly after the legendary pirate received substantially more attention through the manga’s recent exploration of the God Valley Incident.

The final standings will have a direct impact on several upcoming One Piece projects rather than simply determining which characters currently have the largest worldwide following.

Eiichiro Oda will create new “Special Outfit” illustrations for each of the top 30 characters, with Luffy’s design receiving an early reveal on the cover of Weekly Shonen Jump No.39.

Fans will also be able to submit questions about the top 30 characters for a separate project in which selected questions will be answered by Oda himself.

All 50 of the highest-ranked characters are set to receive new ONE PIECE Card Game cards, while the top 15 will feature in special TV anime eyecatches beginning in 2027 and the top 30 will also appear across upcoming Mugiwara Store merchandise.

WIT Studio’s THE ONE PIECE remake is another major project approaching during the same period, with the new adaptation returning to the beginning of Luffy’s adventure and currently scheduled to debut worldwide on Netflix in February 2027.
