Bandai has fully revealed the card lineup for the Gundam Card Game’s four upcoming starter decks, bringing together Char’s Z’Gok and a surprisingly broad selection of amphibious Mobile Suits in a Blue-Purple strategy built around underwater combat.

Aquatic Assault [ST11] contains 16 different numbered cards across its ready-to-play 50-card deck, with Mobile Suit Gundam joined by machines and characters from Gundam Unicorn, After War Gundam X, Turn A Gundam, Gundam SEED, and Gundam SEED Destiny.

The entire strategy revolves around the Marine trait, with many of its cards becoming stronger when multiple underwater Units are kept in play and others providing defensive effects that make the resulting formation harder for opponents to break apart.

Char’s Z’Gok sits at the center of the Blue side as a Level 4 Unit with 3 AP and 3 HP, bringing one of Mobile Suit Gundam’s most memorable amphibious machines into the deck alongside Char Aznable himself.

When paired and supported by at least two other friendly Marine Units, opponents are unable to select Char’s Z’Gok as an attack target, rewarding players for building up a substantial underwater presence rather than deploying the Mobile Suit by itself.

Its deployment ability provides immediate battlefield control as well, allowing a Level 2 or lower enemy Unit to be returned to the bottom of its owner’s deck whenever another friendly Marine Unit is already in play.

Char Aznable strengthens that wider Marine strategy further, with his pairing effect increasing the AP of every friendly Marine Unit by one for the remainder of the turn.

Acguy provides a more defensive piece of the same strategy, protecting lower-HP Marine Units from enemy effect damage while it remains rested during the opponent’s turn.

Zock can meanwhile gain Blocker whenever another friendly Marine Unit is in play, giving the deck another way to shield its more valuable cards while maintaining the underwater formation needed to activate many of its effects.

Bandai has gone well beyond the original Mobile Suit Gundam when selecting the deck’s amphibious machines, with the Blue lineup also including ZAFT’s ZnO and Ash from the Gundam SEED series.

The Purple side broadens things further with Shamblo from Gundam Unicorn, Gundam Leopard and Daughseat from After War Gundam X, Kapool from Turn A Gundam, and Abyss Gundam from Gundam SEED Destiny.

Shamblo provides the second Legend Rare Unit and becomes one of the deck’s heavier defensive options, reaching Level 6 with 4 AP and 5 HP while linking directly with Loni Garvey.

If another friendly Marine Unit is present at the beginning of an opponent’s turn, Shamblo can reduce effect damage dealt by the opponent to cards in the player’s Shield Area by five for that turn.

Deploying Shamblo also allows a Marine Unit card to be recovered from the trash and returned to the player’s hand, giving the deck a way to recycle one of the amphibious machines lost earlier in a battle.

Loni Garvey complements that defensive role by selecting a friendly Marine Unit when paired and reducing the battle damage it receives from enemy Units by two for the turn.

Kapool provides another form of card advantage at the opposite end of the cost curve, drawing a card when destroyed during an opponent’s turn as long as another friendly Marine Unit remains in play.

Abyss Gundam adds Blocker to the Purple lineup, while the Command “A Twinkle from the Abyss” can take a Level 4 or lower Marine Unit from the trash and deploy it in a rested state, giving destroyed underwater machines another route back onto the battlefield.

Mad Angler completes the numbered lineup as the deck’s Base and also includes an effect aimed at larger battlefields, potentially dealing damage to a rested enemy Unit when an opponent has at least four Units in play.

Here is the complete list of 16 numbered cards now confirmed for Aquatic Assault [ST11].

Aquatic Assault comes as a complete 50-card constructed deck alongside 10 Resource Cards, four Token Cards, a paper damage counter, a combined rules and playsheet, and one Bonus Pack.

That Bonus Pack gives collectors a chance of finding an extended-art version of one of the cards featured in the deck, while the four included Token Cards give Aquatic Assault twice as many as Raging Onslaught and Heavy Dominion.

Aquatic Assault will launch as part of a four-deck wave, with each starter bringing together Mobile Suits from different Gundam series according to how they fight rather than keeping individual anime separated.

Raging Onslaught [ST12] uses a Red-Purple lineup led by Gundam Epyon and focuses on aggressive close-range combat, while Silent Barrage [ST13] moves to Green-Red with Qubeley, Gundam Aerial, and other Bit and Funnel users supporting a long-range strategy.

Heavy Dominion [ST14] completes the group with Green-White cards led by The-O and Full Armor Unicorn Gundam, focusing on powerful, heavily armed, and armored Units.

Aquatic Assault [ST11], Raging Onslaught [ST12], Silent Barrage [ST13], and Heavy Dominion [ST14] will all launch in the US on September 25, 2026, with each starter deck priced at $15.99.
