Bandai Reveals First-Look at 4 New Gundam Card Game Starter Decks Ahead of September Release
Image by Charlotte DavisBandai has revealed more details and previewed the first cards for four new starter decks for the Gundam Card Game ahead of their upcoming September release.
Aquatic Assault [ST11], Raging Onslaught [ST12], Silent Barrage [ST13] and Heavy Dominion [ST14] will all arrive together, offering strategies centered around underwater units, close-range attacks, remote weapons and heavily armed mobile suits respectively.

The wave is also being designed with the game’s multiplayer formats in mind, with Bandai confirming that each deck contains cards that can become particularly useful outside traditional one-on-one matches.
Each set provides a complete 50-card deck alongside 10 Resource Cards, a paper damage counter, rule and playsheet, token cards and a Bonus Pack, making all four ready to play without requiring additional booster purchases.

Aquatic Assault [ST11] uses a Blue-Purple combination and takes the Gundam Card Game into underwater combat, with Char’s Z’Gok serving as its headline mobile suit.

The strategy revolves around Marine units and battlefield control, fitting the amphibious machines used by Zeon during the original Mobile Suit Gundam and bringing a relatively different style of fighting to the game’s starter deck range.

Among the cards already revealed are Char’s Z’Gok, Char Aznable, the Mad Angler and Kapool, giving the deck aquatic machines from more than one corner of the Gundam franchise rather than restricting it entirely to the One Year War.

The new Char’s Z’Gok rewards players for keeping other Marine units on the field, while its deployment effect can send a lower-level enemy unit back to the bottom of its owner’s deck when another friendly Marine unit is already in play.

Raging Onslaught [ST12] switches to Red-Purple and is built for players who would rather close the distance, with Gundam Epyon representing a deck focused heavily on close-range combat and relentless offensive pressure.

Epyon is a natural fit for that approach, with the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing machine famously designed around direct combat and equipped with weapons such as its Beam Sword and Heat Rod rather than conventional ranged firearms.

Other cards revealed for ST12 include Gyan and GQuuuuuuX in its Omega Psycommu state, while the deck will also feature Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee in both Unicorn Mode and Destroy Mode, expanding the lineup well beyond Gundam Wing.

This mix of series is one of the more interesting parts of the September wave, as Bandai is grouping mobile suits together according to how they fight rather than simply building each starter around a single anime.

Silent Barrage [ST13] moves to a Green-Red combination and places Qubeley at the center of a long-range strategy built around Bits and Funnels.

Remote weapons have played a major role throughout Gundam’s Newtype-focused battles, allowing mobile suits to attack opponents from multiple directions while their pilots remain at a distance.

Qubeley is joined by Gundam Aerial from The Witch from Mercury, while other cards already revealed for the deck include GFreD and Red Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, showing how ST13 brings together remote-weapon users from very different periods of Gundam history.

The deck includes four Token Cards rather than the two found in Raging Onslaught, supporting its heavier focus on Bit and Funnel-based gameplay.

Heavy Dominion [ST14] rounds out the group with Green-White cards and a much heavier approach to combat, with Unicorn Gundam and The-O leading a selection centered around powerful, heavily armed units.

The-O is one of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam’s most imposing machines, piloted by Paptimus Scirocco and built around tremendous power and durability despite its unusually bulky appearance.

Full Armor Unicorn Gundam in Destroy Mode has also been revealed as one of ST14’s major cards, alongside Banagher Links and Gundam Heavyarms Custom EW.

The new Full Armor Unicorn rewards multiplayer play directly, with its deployment effect allowing its user to potentially draw more cards depending on the number of enemy players, while another ability can prevent battle damage under the right conditions when paired.

Like Raging Onslaught, Heavy Dominion contains two Token Cards, while Aquatic Assault and Silent Barrage each include four.
Each starter also comes with a Bonus Pack, which gives fans a chance at pulling an extended art variant of one of the cards featured in the deck.

The four decks will not be arriving alone, as Bandai is launching several new Gundam Card Game accessories on the same day.
The “Official Playmat & Card Set – Mobile Suit Gundam 00 -” includes a Gundam 00-themed playmat alongside one promotional card, creating a dedicated option for fans of the series that introduced Setsuna F. Seiei and the Celestial Being Gundams.

The “Official Card Case Set 02” contains a deck case, separator, and two promotional cards, with the design built around a Char Aznable theme.

“Official Card Sleeves 02” will meanwhile consist of four different designs sold in packs of 70 sleeves, with revealed artwork including Gigi Andalucia from Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway and Suletta Mercury from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.

Aquatic Assault [ST11], Raging Onslaught [ST12], Silent Barrage [ST13] and Heavy Dominion [ST14] are each priced at $15.99, though this is only an MSRP and prices may vary by retailer.
Bandai has not yet listed US MSRPs for the accompanying Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Playmat & Card Set, Official Card Case Set 02, or Official Card Sleeves 02.
All four starter decks and the three accessory releases are scheduled to launch in the US on September 25, 2026.
