LEGO Reveals First-Look at New The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Link & Epona Set

LEGO and Nintendo have revealed a new large-scale The Legend of Zelda build that recreates one of the most memorable sights from Ocarina of Time, with adult Link riding across Hyrule alongside his trusted horse Epona.

The surprise announcement came during Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, where the upcoming set was shown for the first time as part of the celebrations surrounding four decades of the hugely popular adventure series.

Ocarina of Time originally arrived on Nintendo 64 in 1998 and became the first fully 3D entry in the series, with its story following Link across two different periods as he attempts to stop Ganondorf from taking control of Hyrule.

Epona becomes one of Link’s most important companions during the adult portion of the game, allowing him to travel rapidly across Hyrule Field after players learn to summon her using “Epona’s Song”.

That familiar partnership forms the basis of the newly revealed LEGO model, which depicts Epona rearing onto her hind legs while Link sits on her back wearing his classic green tunic.

Link is shown holding the Master Sword above him while carrying the Hylian Shield, with Epona’s brown body, white mane, and recognizable leg markings all recreated through LEGO pieces.

The pair stand on a grass-covered display base, turning the finished build into something closer to a brick-built character statue than the scene-based sets LEGO has previously created for the franchise.

It marks another expansion of LEGO and Nintendo’s relatively young Zelda partnership, which began with the large “Great Deku Tree 2-in-1” set that could be rebuilt to represent versions of the landmark from either Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild.

That was followed in March 2026 by the 1,003-piece “Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle,” a $129.99 set recreating the climactic confrontation between Link, Zelda and Ganon inside the ruins of Ganon’s Castle.

The new Link and Epona model therefore gives Ocarina of Time its second dedicated LEGO release in 2026, although its much larger character-focused construction sets it apart considerably from the minifigure-scale Final Battle.

Its reveal also comes during a major year for the 1998 game itself, with Nintendo currently developing a full Ocarina of Time remake for Nintendo Switch 2 as part of The Legend of Zelda’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

The remake was originally announced during Nintendo’s June 2026 Direct and represents the game’s second major remake following Ocarina of Time 3D on Nintendo 3DS in 2011.

LEGO has so far only provided an initial look at the new “The Legend of Zelda Link & Epona Ocarina of Time” model, with its official set number, piece count, dimensions, price, and release date all still to be announced.

A dedicated product page has also yet to appear on LEGO’s official store, suggesting collectors may have to wait a little longer before pre-orders and the complete specifications are revealed.
