Extended First-Look Revealed for Gundam 00’s New MGSD 00 Raiser Gunpla Kit

Bandai’s new MGSD 00 Raiser is now officially available to pre-order, giving Gundam 00 fans their first opportunity to secure the latest release in the high-end SD Gunpla series.
A new collection of product images has also been revealed, offering a much closer look at the 00 Raiser combination, articulation, GN Drives, weapons and several mechanisms created specifically for the MGSD version.

The kit was first unveiled during the recent “Latest! Gunpla Info Bureau” broadcast, where its large beam effects and GN Drive gimmicks provided an early indication of how Bandai was adapting the machine to MGSD proportions.

MGSD combines the compact proportions traditionally associated with SD Gundam kits with engineering, surface detailing and articulation closer to what collectors would expect from a Master Grade release.

The 00 Raiser appears in Mobile Suit Gundam 00 as the upgraded configuration formed when Setsuna F. Seiei’s 00 Gundam combines with the support unit known as the 0 Raiser.
That combination is fully represented in the new model, with the included 0 Raiser able to attach to the 00 Gundam while retaining a wide range of movement across the completed form.

Bandai has added particularly fine detailing around the various lens components, including molded lettering and mechanical details that remain visible despite the kit’s compact proportions.
The shoulder-mounted GN Drives receive one of the model’s most prominent original MGSD features, combining rotational movement with a mechanism that exposes the clear components underneath.

The 0 Raiser incorporates a similar opening feature that reveals reflection-cut clear parts within the unit, adding further detail to the completed combination.
The weapon selection includes two GN Sword IIs, with their connecting mechanism recreated alongside the ability to position them in different configurations.

Bandai also includes the larger GN Sword III, with dedicated beam effects supplied for both the GN Sword II and GN Sword III.
The newly released images show those effects extending far beyond the compact body of the model, creating some of the kit’s most dramatic display options.

Two GN Shields are included and can be connected together, while a pair of GN Beam Sabers provides another option for recreating close-range combat poses.
The complete package includes the 0 Raiser, two GN Sword IIs, one GN Sword III, beam effects for the GN Sword II and III, two GN Shields, two GN Beam Sabers and a sticker sheet.

The MGSD 00 Raiser forms part of a particularly busy wave of recent Gundam releases, with pre-orders also opening for the MGEX Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam and FULL MECHANICS Graze Ein.

The “MGSD 00 Raiser” is a general retail kit priced at ¥6,050 (approx. $38 USD / £28 GBP), with pre-orders now open through reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan ahead of its scheduled March 2027 release.
Pre-orders may also shortly open through Bandai’s official retail channels, including Premium Bandai US, although the kit is not a Premium Bandai exclusive, the store does frequently offer general retail Gunpla for pre-order.
