New PG UNLEASHED Nu Gundam Expansion Set Fully Unveiled as Pre-Orders Officially Open
Pre-orders are now officially open for Bandai’s new PG UNLEASHED 1/60 Nu Gundam expansion, offering collectors a dramatic way to transform the already massive Perfect Grade model.
Bandai has also revealed a new collection of product images showing both the transparent exterior and imposing Double Fin Funnel configuration in considerably greater detail.
The “PG UNLEASHED 1/60 Fin Funnel & Clear Color Body for Nu Gundam” was first announced during the recent “Latest! Gunpla Info Bureau” broadcast as an optional parts set for the separately sold PG UNLEASHED Nu Gundam.
Its most substantial addition is a second set of six Fin Funnels, allowing all 12 to be mounted across both sides of the backpack to recreate the Double Fin Funnel configuration.
That gives the already imposing 1/60-scale Nu Gundam an even wider silhouette, with the two symmetrical banks of Funnels extending far beyond the main body.
The additional Fin Funnels can also be used alongside the six supplied with the original PG UNLEASHED release, meaning owners do not need to replace the existing set to create the expanded configuration.
The other major component is a complete set of Clear Color exterior parts for the Nu Gundam itself, allowing considerably more of the PG UNLEASHED model’s intricate internal construction to remain visible once fully assembled.
That is particularly suited to the PG UNLEASHED approach, where a large part of the appeal comes from the detailed frame and layered mechanical structure normally concealed underneath the finished armor.
Builders can therefore use the expansion to create a Clear Color version, the Double Fin Funnel configuration, or combine both elements for the most elaborate version of the Nu Gundam possible with the official parts.
The newly released images provide a much clearer look at how the transparent armor interacts with the internal frame, while also emphasizing just how much additional presence the second Fin Funnel array gives the completed model.
The expansion arrives amid a particularly busy run of new Gunpla, with pre-orders also opening for the RG Ground Type Gundam, HG Hamma-Hamma and MGSD 00 Raiser following the reveal of new product images for each kit.
Bandai has also recently opened orders for the MGEX Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam and FULL MECHANICS Graze Ein, while its completed figure division has launched the new ABSOLUTE ACT series with Strike Freedom Gundam.

The “PG UNLEASHED 1/60 Fin Funnel & Clear Color Body for Nu Gundam” is priced at ¥16,500 (approx. $103 USD / £76 GBP), with pre-orders now open through Premium Bandai Japan ahead of shipping in December 2026.
Though pre-orders through Premium Bandai US have not yet appeared, US fans can expect that Bandai will open them in the coming days.
