Pre-Orders Open as LEGO Announces 5 New Pokémon Sets

LEGO has officially opened pre-orders for 5 new sets which will form the complete second-half 2026 Pokémon line-up.

Pokémon first debuted in 1996 with Pokémon Red and Green on the Game Boy and has grown into one of the world’s biggest entertainment franchises through video games, trading cards, animation, movies and merchandise, with 2026 marking the series’ 30th anniversary.

Designed as a premium display model celebrating three decades of Pokémon history, the “72154 Iconic Trainer Moments: Poké Ball” revolves around a large buildable Poké Ball that conceals a detailed scene inspired by the original games.

The exterior display base features textured grass elements surrounded by plants and foliage, creating a natural environment before the Poké Ball opens to reveal the hidden interior diorama.

Included with the set are minifigures of Red, Professor Oak and a Picnicker, alongside Pikachu and Eevee figures that mark the first time either Pokémon has appeared in LEGO minifigure-style form, making them a major highlight for collectors.

The “72154 Iconic Trainer Moments: Poké Ball” is priced at $299.99 USD (approx. ¥43,200 / £219 GBP).

Launching alongside the Poké Ball set in October is the “40868 Up-Scaled Red Minifigure,” which has been designed to complement the larger display and together create a fitting tribute to Pokémon’s 30th anniversary.

The “40868 Up-Scaled Red Minifigure” is priced at $79.99 USD (approx. ¥11,500 / £58 GBP).

The wider LEGO Pokémon collection first begins in August with “72150 Munchlax,” a 757-piece recreation of the Normal-type Pokémon known for its insatiable appetite, priced at $69.99 USD (approx. ¥10,100 / £51 GBP).

Joining Munchlax is the “72160 Arcanine” set, a 1,190-piece model celebrating the legendary Fire-type Pokémon, recreating its distinctive striped fur, flowing mane and powerful stance in brick-built form, priced at $109.99 USD (approx. ¥15,900 / £80 GBP).

The August wave is completed by “72168 Rayquaza,” a 1,083-piece display model based on the iconic Legendary Pokémon from the Hoenn region, faithfully recreating its long serpentine body through an articulated segmented design that allows for a variety of dynamic display poses, priced at $129.99 USD (approx. ¥18,800 / £95 GBP).

Together, the Munchlax, Arcanine, Rayquaza, Upscaled Red Minifigure, and Iconic Trainer Moments: Poké Ball sets form LEGO’s complete Pokémon collection for the second half of 2026.

Pre-orders for all five LEGO Pokémon sets are now available through the official LEGO online store, with Munchlax, Arcanine, and Rayquaza scheduled for release in August 2026, followed by the Up-Scaled Red Minifigure and the “72154 Iconic Trainer Moments: Poké Ball” on October 1, 2026.
