Katsushika Hokusai × Hatsune Miku Rella POPUP at Animate Fukuoka ANNEX
Image by James RichardsonA new Hatsune Miku pop-up shop is set to open in November, offering merchandise based on illustrator Rella’s artwork combining the Piapro Characters with famous Japanese woodblock prints.
The “Katsushika Hokusai × Hatsune Miku (Rella) POPUP in Animate” will take place at Animate Fukuoka ANNEX, with character displays accompanying the merchandise collection.

The project brings together Crypton Future Media’s virtual singers and the work of Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, best known internationally for The Great Wave off Kanagawa.

Rella has created illustrations featuring Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO and KAITO inspired by four works from Hokusai’s Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series.

The selected artworks include The Great Wave off Kanagawa, Fine Wind, Clear Morning, Mishima Pass in Kai Province and Mount Fuji from Gotenyama at Shinagawa on the Tokaido.

The pop-up shop will sell new products using Rella’s illustrations, although a complete itemized merchandise lineup has not been confirmed.

Character standees will also be displayed at the venue.
Customers spending ¥2,000 on eligible collaboration merchandise will receive one randomly selected transparent bookmark from six designs.

The bookmarks will be distributed while supplies last, with designs assigned randomly.
The event will run from November 2 through December 27, 2026 at Animate Fukuoka ANNEX on the eighth floor of Fukuoka PARCO’s main building.
