Gundam Wing’s Exclusive HG Leo-N Gunpla Kit Returns for Limited-Time US Re-Release
Image by Charlotte DavisBandai has brought another exclusive Gundam Wing Gunpla kit back to the US for a limited time, with the heavily armored Leo-N returning as part of a major promotional event.
The “HG 1/144 LEO-N” joins a large selection of exclusive Gunpla kits, figures, and other collectibles returning for Premium Bandai Week 2026, which also offers a temporary reduction to the usual free-shipping threshold.
Image by Charlotte DavisLeo-N originates from New Mobile Report Gundam Wing Dual Story: G-UNIT, a manga spin-off of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing that introduces a new cast of pilots and Mobile Suits during the After Colony timeline.

Also published in North America as Mobile Suit Gundam: The Last Outpost, the series follows the conflict surrounding the MO-V space colony and OZ Prize, a specialized military unit that operates a number of powerful experimental Mobile Suits.
The Leo-N is piloted by Broom Brooks, one of OZ Prize’s Three Stardust Knights, and is a heavily modified version of the standard Leo designed to emphasize strength and defensive capability.

Its reinforced construction incorporates elements of the Tragos Mobile Suit, particularly around the legs, giving the machine a much broader and more heavily armored appearance than the original Leo.
Bandai first released the exclusive High Grade kit in June 2025, introducing newly molded components to recreate Broom’s customized Mobile Suit at 1/144 scale.

The kit uses parts from the existing “HG 1/144 Leo” alongside newly designed armor, with the head and chest receiving distinctive new shapes that reproduce Leo-N’s reinforced appearance.

Its enlarged shoulders and heavily armored limbs give the completed model a powerful, imposing silhouette, with movable joints built into the shoulder assemblies to allow the arms to swing forward and backward.

One of the main additions is the Warrior Axe, a newly designed weapon created specifically for this Gunpla release and reproduced using separate molded colors.
The axe can be held in the Mobile Suit’s hands for close-combat poses, with the shoulder articulation allowing builders to position the weapon across the body.

Two Beam Sabers are also included, with dedicated storage spaces built into the shoulders so they can be carried when not in use.

Leo-N completes the trio of customized Leo machines used by the Stardust Knights, joining Roche Nattono’s Leo-S and Kratz Silvy’s Leo-R, both of which have also received exclusive High Grade Gunpla kits.

The G-UNIT series has continued to receive attention from Bandai through other recent releases, including the new “HG 1/144 Hydra Gundam,” which recreates the formidable Mobile Suit piloted by OZ Prize commander Valder Farkill.

That kit introduces a newly designed transformation system, an articulated mechanical backpack, and specialized weapons based on Hydra Gundam’s appearance in the manga.

Other Gundam Wing kits returning to Premium Bandai US include the “MG 1/100 Tallgeese Fluegel EW,” which features Zechs Merquise’s upgraded Mobile Suit with four large wing binders and an extensive selection of close-combat weapons.

Premium Bandai Week 2026 runs from October 8 at 10:00 AM EDT until October 13 at 11:59 PM EDT, with registered Premium Bandai US members able to qualify for free shipping on eligible orders of $50 or more instead of the usual $100 minimum when using the no-signature-required shipping option.

The “HG 1/144 LEO-N” has been specifically restocked for the event and is available for immediate purchase through Premium Bandai US for $32, although quantities are limited and the kit may sell out before the promotion ends.
