LEGO Pokémon Munchlax Set Fully Revealed Ahead of Release

LEGO has unveiled a brand-new Pokémon building set starring the always-hungry Munchlax, with the fan-favorite Normal-type Pokémon leading the latest wave of collectible brick-built models arriving this summer.

Pokémon first debuted in 1996 and has grown into one of the world’s biggest entertainment franchises through its video games, anime, trading card game, movies and merchandise, with hundreds of creatures becoming fan favorites across multiple generations.

Munchlax is a Generation IV Normal-type Pokémon best known as the pre-evolved form of Snorlax, earning a reputation for its enormous appetite, lovable personality and habit of hiding food inside its fur before promptly forgetting where it put it.

The new LEGO Pokémon 72150 Munchlax recreates the Pokémon sitting contentedly on a tree stump surrounded by flowers and mushrooms, creating a peaceful woodland display that perfectly captures its relaxed personality.

To emphasize Munchlax’s famously gluttonous nature, the scene also includes a whole apple alongside two discarded apple cores positioned in front of the Pokémon.

The set is constructed from 757 pieces, making it a substantial display model for both LEGO builders and Pokémon collectors.

Joining Munchlax in the same release wave is LEGO Pokémon 72160 Arcanine, which contains 1,190 pieces and is priced at $109.99 (approx. ¥15,800 / £80 GBP).

Arcanine is one of the original Generation I Pokémon and is renowned for its incredible speed, loyalty, and legendary status despite being classified as a Fire-type Pokémon rather than an actual Legendary Pokémon.

Also arriving alongside the collection is LEGO Pokémon 72168 Rayquaza, featuring 1,083 pieces and priced at $129.99 (approx. ¥18,700 / £95 GBP).

Rayquaza is the iconic Legendary Dragon and Flying-type Pokémon from the Hoenn region, famous for soaring through the ozone layer while maintaining balance between Groudon and Kyogre in Pokémon lore.

The LEGO Pokémon 72150 Munchlax will launch on August 1, 2026, for $69.99 (approx. ¥10,000 / £51 GBP), while LEGO Pokémon 72160 Arcanine and LEGO Pokémon 72168 Rayquaza will also be released on the same day.
