Oddtaxi Celebrates 5th Anniversary with New Special Visual
The original anime series ODDTAXI celebrated its fifth anniversary on April 6, 2026, marking half a decade since the mystery thriller first aired.
Director Baku Kinoshita shared an anniversary visual and expressed gratitude to the audience for their continued support since the series began.
ODDTAXI originally premiered on April 6, 2021, and was produced through a collaboration between the animation studios OLM and PICS.
The story follows Odokawa, a cynical walrus taxi driver who becomes entangled in a missing person case involving several eccentric animal characters.
To commemorate the milestone, a new ODDTAXI RADIO web show featuring two producers will be launched to answer fan questions.
Commemorative merchandise is also scheduled for release, with specific details to be announced at a later date.
The franchise has expanded significantly since its debut, including a reconstruction film titled ODDTAXI in the Woods and the live-action spin-off RoOT.
Kazuya Konomoto served as the series writer, while the musical score featured contributions from OMSB, Punpee, and Vava.
