Shiboyugi: Playing Death Games To Put Food On The Table Movie Set for July 2026 Theatrical Release

Following the conclusion of the SHIBOYUGI Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table television anime, the franchise is set to expand with a new theatrical project titled 44 CLOUDY BEACH.
Official social media accounts for the series released a teaser visual and trailer on March 28, 2026, to announce the special anime film.

The production is scheduled for a limited two-week screening period in Japanese theaters starting on July 10, 2026.
The story centers on seventeen-year-old Yuki, a professional player who treats lethal survival games as a calculated business endeavor in a deranged world.
The new cinematic installment follows the protagonist Yuki as she continues her perilous journey through professional death games.
The story finds Yuki on a beach where she must compete against seven other players, including a person from her past, in the Cloudy Beach game.
The main creative staff from the television series will return to their roles at Studio DEEN for the theatrical production.
Sota Ueno serves as the director, with Rintaro Ikeda handling series composition and Eri Osada providing character designs.
The franchise originated as a light novel series written by Yushi Ukai and illustrated by Nekometaru, which launched in November 2022.
A television adaptation previously premiered in January 2026 and was made available for international streaming through services such as Crunchyroll and Netflix.
