Avengers: Doomsday Reveals New Deluxe Beast Figure Based on Kelsey Grammer’s X-Men Return

The “Movie Masterpiece Avengers: Doomsday Beast” recreates the blue-furred mutant in 1/6 scale, with standard and Deluxe editions offering different display options, including a light-up Sentinel diorama.

Beast, also known as Dr. Henry “Hank” McCoy, made his debut in Marvel Comics’ original X-Men series in 1963, becoming one of the founding members of Professor Charles Xavier’s mutant superhero team.

Despite his intimidating appearance and incredible physical strength, Beast is a brilliant scientist whose intelligence and expertise in genetics have made him an important member of the X-Men throughout the franchise’s history.

Kelsey Grammer first portrayed Beast in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, later reprising the role in X-Men: Days of Future Past and making a surprise appearance during the mid-credits scene of 2023’s The Marvels.

Grammer will also be joined in Avengers: Doomsday by several other actors returning from the original X-Men movies, including Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, and James Marsden as Cyclops.

For this new Movie Masterpiece release, Hot Toys has developed a 1/6-scale figure standing approximately 33 cm tall, with over 30 points of articulation and a detailed head sculpt based on Grammer’s appearance in the movie.

The head features individually adjustable eyes, allowing collectors to change Beast’s expression by directing his gaze, alongside hand-painted skin textures, wrinkles, and facial hair.

His swept-back blue hairstyle uses individually implanted wool fibers, with the specially developed body incorporating additional synthetic fur across the torso and limbs to recreate his heavily mutated appearance.

Beast’s costume consists of dark blue pants with yellow detailing and a matching belt, complete with the classic X-Men insignia on its buckle.

Three pairs of interchangeable hands are included, allowing Beast to be displayed with clenched fists, extended claws, or open gripping poses.

Both editions include the same Beast figure and interchangeable accessories, with the main difference being their display bases.

The standard edition includes a specially designed stand featuring the Avengers: Doomsday movie logo and Beast’s nameplate.

The Deluxe edition replaces this with an elaborate diorama depicting the destroyed head of a Sentinel, one of the enormous robotic weapons created to hunt and eliminate mutants in the X-Men universe.

The battle-damaged display incorporates torn metal panels, scorched armor, and exposed mechanical cables, with translucent green flames emerging from the wreckage.

Its eyes also feature USB-powered LED lighting, allowing the destroyed Sentinel to illuminate beneath Beast and create a more dramatic scene.

Hot Toys has continued expanding its premium Marvel figure collections, having previously released a special 1/6-scale figure of Japan’s original live-action Spider-Man in November 2025, recreating the 1978 television series costume worn by Takuya Yamashiro.

Other X-Men characters have also received new figures during 2026, including Bandai’s Marvel Gamerverse S.H.Figuarts Psylocke, which opened for pre-orders in June with interchangeable weapons and effects inspired by her psychic abilities.

The new Beast figure is part of Hot Toys’ wider Avengers: Doomsday Movie Masterpiece collection, which also includes characters such as Steve Rogers, Thor, Professor X, Magneto and Gambit.

Both editions are now available to pre-order through Sideshow’s official online store, with the standard version priced at $330 and the Deluxe version priced at $390.

Sideshow currently estimates shipments between July and December 2027, although some orders may not arrive until March 2028, while Hot Toys Japan has scheduled both editions for release in December 2027.
