A previously Japan-exclusive Gunpla kit from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is finally receiving an official US release more than nine years after its original debut, with Bandai opening American pre-orders for one of Gjallarhorn’s most powerful mass-production Mobile Suits for the first time.
The “HG 1/144 Mobile Reginlaze (Standard Type)” recreates the next-generation military machine introduced during the anime’s second season, featuring its standard green and gray coloring alongside the weapons and equipment carried by Gjallarhorn’s regular forces.

Originally broadcast in 2015, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans takes place in the Post Disaster timeline, following a group of young soldiers who form the independent organization Tekkadan after rebelling against the private military company employing them.
Led by Orga Itsuka and supported by Mikazuki Augus, the pilot of Gundam Barbatos, Tekkadan becomes involved in a growing conflict with Gjallarhorn, a powerful military organization responsible for maintaining order throughout the Earth Sphere and its colonies.
The series’ second season introduces the Reginlaze as Gjallarhorn’s next-generation mass-production Mobile Suit, developed to succeed the older Graze units that formed the backbone of its military forces.

Built around an improved version of the Graze Frame, the Reginlaze incorporates revised armor, enhanced mobility, and updated combat equipment, reflecting Gjallarhorn’s efforts to modernize its forces following the growing threat posed by Tekkadan.
Several variations appear throughout the anime, including customized machines operated by Gjallarhorn officers Julieta Juris and Iok Kujan, alongside the standard versions used by ordinary pilots.

Bandai originally introduced the Reginlaze to its High Grade Gunpla range in October 2016 with a general retail kit based on Julieta’s personal machine, which featured distinctive green and white armor alongside her specialized equipment.
Its Standard Type kit followed in May 2017 as a Premium Bandai Japan exclusive, offering builders an alternative version of the Mobile Suit without the unique coloring associated with Julieta’s individual unit.

The “HG 1/144 Mobile Reginlaze (Standard Type)” uses the same underlying parts as the earlier Julieta release, replacing its lighter armor sections with dark gray components to reproduce the regular military specification.
The kit’s green and gray coloring is reproduced through molded plastic parts, allowing builders to assemble the Mobile Suit in its intended appearance without requiring additional painting.

Its mechanical frame retains the articulation of the original High Grade design, with movable joints throughout the arms, legs, and torso that allow the completed Reginlaze to adopt a variety of combat poses.
Alternative head components for reproducing standard and commander configurations are also included, giving builders even more display options.

Its equipment includes a rifle and forearm-mounted gauntlets, with the rifle featuring removable components and the ability to be held in different firing positions.
Parts for Julieta’s distinctive Twin Pile weapons are also retained from the original kit, providing additional equipment options despite the Standard Type’s more conventional appearance.

The older Graze family has also been the focus of a recent US re-release through Gaelio Bauduin’s exclusive 1/100 Schwalbe Graze, a customized machine featuring purple armor, enhanced mobility, and a dedicated lance designed for close-range combat.

Another variation of the Graze is represented by the new “HG 1/144 Ryusei-Go (Graze Custom III)”, which just opened for US pre-orders and recreates Norba Shino’s heavily rebuilt Mobile Suit from Iron-Blooded Orphans: Urdr-Hunt.

Originally constructed from a captured Gjallarhorn Graze, Ryusei-Go underwent several extensive modifications while serving Tekkadan, eventually receiving replacement components from multiple Teiwaz machines.
Pre-orders for the “HG 1/144 Mobile Reginlaze (Standard Type),” priced at $19, are now open exclusively through Premium Bandai US, with orders scheduled to close on April 16, 2027, at 2:59 AM EDT and shipping expected in May 2027.
