Bandai Announces US Re-Release for Gundam: IBO’s Exclusive Schwalbe Graze Gunpla Kit
Image by Charlotte DavisBandai has officially reopened US pre-orders for its exclusive Schwalbe Graze Gunpla kit from Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, giving fans another chance to build Gaelio Bauduin’s purple Mobile Suit as part of a major promotional event.
The “1/100 GAELIO’S SCHWALBE GRAZE” joins a large selection of exclusive Gunpla kits, figures and other collectibles returning for Premium Bandai Week 2026, which also offers a temporary reduction to the usual free-shipping threshold.
Schwalbe Graze appears in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, the 2015 anime series set in the Post Disaster timeline, which follows the young soldiers of Tekkadan as they fight for independence against the powerful Gjallarhorn military organization.
The machine is a high-performance Mobile Suit from Gjallarhorn’s Graze family, featuring enhanced mobility and specialized equipment intended for experienced pilots capable of handling its demanding performance.
Gaelio Bauduin, a Gjallarhorn officer and close friend of McGillis Fareed, pilots a customized purple Schwalbe Graze during his early encounters with Tekkadan and Mikazuki Augus’s Gundam Barbatos.
He later transfers the machine to his subordinate Ein Dalton after moving to the Gundam Kimaris, with Ein continuing to use the Schwalbe Graze during Gjallarhorn’s pursuit of Tekkadan.
Bandai originally released the exclusive 1/100 scale kit in April 2016, recreating Gaelio’s customized Mobile Suit with its distinctive purple armor and specialized weapons.
Based on the earlier “1/100 McGillis’s Schwalbe Graze,” the model replaces the original blue coloring with newly molded purple components and introduces additional parts for Gaelio’s personal equipment.
The kit retains the detailed Graze Frame from the standard release, with its internal mechanical structure built around a central Ahab Reactor and exposed joints.
Individual armor sections can be removed to reveal the underlying frame, allowing builders to examine the mechanical construction beneath the Mobile Suit’s exterior.
One of its biggest features is Gaelio’s dedicated lance, a newly molded weapon measuring approximately 16.5 cm long that attaches to the machine’s right arm.
The weapon combines a specially designed lance unit with a shortened version of the standard rifle, creating the long piercing weapon associated with Gaelio’s fighting style.
Builders can also assemble the rifle separately, although the two configurations share certain components and must be selected during construction.
Additional equipment includes a Battle Axe and the Schwalbe Graze’s Wire Claw, which can be displayed in its launched position using an included lead wire.
The completed model also retains the opening head sensor mechanism of the original Schwalbe Graze kit, alongside articulated joints that allow the larger lance to be positioned for different combat poses.
Other Graze-based Gunpla kits have recently received attention from Bandai, including the new “HG 1/144 Ryusei-Go (Graze Custom III)” from Iron-Blooded Orphans: Urdr-Hunt, which officially opened US pre-orders earlier this month.
The exclusive High Grade kit recreates Norba Shino’s heavily rebuilt Mobile Suit, combining its original Graze frame with replacement components from several Teiwaz machines following extensive battle damage.
Gaelio’s later story has also received renewed attention through the “METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Gundam Vidar [Re:Coordinate],” an updated premium figure of the disguised Gundam he pilots during the second season of Iron-Blooded Orphans.

Recently revealed by Bandai, the figure features revised coloring, additional markings, and a metallic finish designed to reflect Gundam Vidar’s appearance in the anime more accurately.
