Uma Musume Announces Crossover With Iconic Street Racing Anime Initial D

Japanese arcade game developer SEGA Fave has announced a new collaboration between their popular racing simulator “Initial D THE ARCADE” and the horse girl training sim “Uma Musume: Pretty Derby”.
The “Initial D THE ARCADE x Uma Musume: Pretty Derby Collaboration” will see a variety of horse girl-themed cosmetic items become available for use while playing the high-speed street racing arcade game.

Uma Musume: Pretty Derby is a massive multimedia property created by Cygames that spans video games, anime, and manga.
The series takes place in a world where girls inherit the names and souls of real-life legendary racehorses, competing to conquer the Twinkle Series alongside their trainers.

This unique arcade campaign introduces a massive wave of cosmetic items inspired by popular characters Special Week, Silence Suzuka, and Tokai Teio.
One of the most notable additions is the special avatar clothing items.

These items allow players to dress their personal driver in the iconic idol outfits and colorful wigs worn by the famous horse girls.
This creates a highly entertaining visual where the colorful idol costumes are rendered in the famously sharp and intense Initial D art style.
Let’s take a look at some of the different cosmetic items players can unlock during the crossover event!
- Avatar Items

Players can unlock and wear the signature idol outfits and colorful wigs inspired by the three featured characters.

- In-Game Acrylic Stands

These items act as dashboard decorations, allowing drivers to proudly display their favorite horse girl while racing.

- Custom Racing Meters

These unique UI designs change the appearance of the on-screen speedometer to match the aesthetic of the collaboration.

- Vehicle Aura Shapes

Drivers can equip these special visual effects to surround their customized vehicles with a striking energetic glow.

- Vinyl Stickers

These detailed decals can be equipped on all car models that have been released up to the current Version 3.3 update.

- In-Car Keychains

These hanging rearview mirror decorations add a subtle touch of Uma Musume charm to the interior of the vehicle.

- Chat Stamps

These special character emojis are perfect for quick multiplayer communication with rivals during intense online matches.

Players can also unlock the iconic Uma Musume theme song “Umapyoi Densetsu” to use as background music while driving.

The track features the vocal talents of Azumi Waki as Special Week, Marika Kouno as Silence Suzuka, and Machico as Tokai Teio.
To acquire these exclusive rewards, arcade players must participate in two specific in-game activities.
The first method is by collecting Play Stamps, with three separate stamp campaigns planned for the duration of the event.

The second method requires players to compete in three different Time Trial (TT) Events.
Drivers will earn points during these trials based on their time evaluations on specific courses.

The high-speed crossover campaign officially launched in Japanese arcades on Thursday, April 9, 2026.
The first Play Stamp campaign, focusing specifically on Special Week, will run until Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
