Nested Lands Reveals Early Access Launch Date

META Publishing and developer 1 Million Bits Horde have officially announced the Early Access launch date for their upcoming survival settlement RPG, Nested Lands.

The title is scheduled to arrive on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG on January 23.

While the initial launch is focused on PC, the developers have confirmed that console versions are planned to coincide with the game’s full 1.0 release, bringing the dark medieval experience to a wider audience.

Nested Lands plunges players into a grim medieval world during the devastating era of the Black Death.

This historical setting offers a rich, challenging backdrop for the survival-settlement genre.

Players begin their experience with minimal resources, tasked immediately with the monumental challenge of building a functional village from scratch.

Survival requires constant resource gathering, managing the health and well-being of the population during nasty plague outbreaks, and organizing defenses against roaming bandits and dangerous, plague-twisted foes.

The game emphasizes player choice, with every major decision directly affecting the settlement’s future and prompting the in-game world to react accordingly.

Beyond the external pressures of village leadership and disease management, the narrative explores the toll these events take on the main character’s own mental state and personal hygiene, adding a layer of psychological depth to the survival experience.

The forthcoming Early Access version will introduce a significantly expanded set of core mechanics, many of which have been shaped by valuable community feedback from earlier testing phases.

Key technical improvements include the implementation of a deeper plague system featuring multiple stages and providing complex tactical consequences for players to navigate.

The development team has also reworked the game’s combat and stealth systems to offer a more polished experience, addressing feedback on moment-to-moment gameplay.
