My Hero Academia is officially returning to its U.A. Sports Festival Arc for a new merchandise collection that revisits one of the series’ earliest major tests of power for its young heroes.

Bandai has revealed the first look at “Ichiban Kuji My Hero Academia: Roaring Sports Festival”, a new lottery that will feature figures of Katsuki Bakugo, Fumikage Tokoyami, Izuku Midoriya and Shoto Todoroki among the headline prizes.

Ichiban Kuji is Bandai Spirits’ no-lose lottery format, with every purchased ticket awarding a prize from the available lineup and the person who draws the final ticket at a participating location receiving the exclusive Last One Prize.

The U.A. Sports Festival takes place during the anime’s second season and sees the school’s aspiring heroes compete against one another through a series of events designed to test their abilities in front of Pro Heroes and the wider public.

For several members of Class 1-A, the tournament becomes an important early turning point, giving characters including Todoroki, Bakugo and Tokoyami some of their first major individual battles outside the series’ encounters with villains.

The first revealed prizes for “Ichiban Kuji My Hero Academia: Roaring Sports Festival” place the focus entirely on figures, with four characters recreated in the blue and white U.A. High School gym uniforms worn throughout the Sports Festival.

The currently confirmed lineup includes:

  • A Prize: Katsuki Bakugo MASTERLISE Figure

Bakugo is shown in a battle-ready stance reflecting the aggressive fighting style that eventually carries him through to the final round of the tournament.

  • B Prize: Fumikage Tokoyami MASTERLISE Figure

Tokoyami receives one of the more elaborate figures revealed so far, with Dark Shadow emerging behind him to recreate the living Quirk he uses throughout the competition.

  • C Prize: Izuku Midoriya MASTERLISE Figure

  • Last One Prize: Shoto Todoroki MASTERLISE Figure

Midoriya and Todoroki are designed around their confrontation during Episode 23, “Shoto Todoroki: Origin,” one of the most important battles of the Sports Festival Arc.

Their fight forces Todoroki to confront his refusal to use the fire inherited from his father, Endeavor, after Midoriya repeatedly pushes him to accept that the Quirk belongs to him rather than the parent he resents.

U.A. Sports Festival 3

Bandai has yet to reveal the remaining prize tiers, with additional figures and smaller merchandise from the Sports Festival-themed collection expected to be shown closer to release.

My Hero Academia has received several other Ichiban Kuji collections during its 10th anniversary year, including “Their Story,” which shifted the focus toward characters including Ochaco Uraraka, Tsuyu Asui, Toru Hagakure, Nejire Hado and Himiko Toga.
