The “Chiikawa × Sanrio Characters Kiramekko Plush Mascot Keychain” collection sees Nagano’s adorable creations dressed in costumes inspired by Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi and other beloved Sanrio characters, recreating the crossover designs as miniature plush accessories.

Originally created by Japanese illustrator Nagano in 2020, Chiikawa follows a group of small, adorable creatures navigating everyday life in a world that combines heartwarming friendships with unexpectedly difficult and sometimes frightening situations.

The series became a major hit through its social media illustrations before receiving a television anime adaptation in 2022, introducing a wider audience to Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi and their unusual adventures.

Chiikawa’s popularity has also led to numerous merchandise collaborations, including several collections created in partnership with Sanrio, the Japanese entertainment brand responsible for characters such as Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, My Melody and Pompompurin.

Their partnership previously produced a major 21-piece collection in June 2025, featuring plush toys, bags, pouches and other accessories inspired by the two franchises dressing up as one another.

The Kiramekko mascots were subsequently introduced as part of another collaboration released in December 2025, which also included a separate assortment of supermarket-themed merchandise featuring the characters shopping together.

Kiramekko is a plush mascot series known for its distinctive sparkling eyes and detailed vinyl faces, combining the softness of traditional plush toys with expressive features that give each design a particularly striking appearance.

For this collab collection, Chiikawa and friends wear fluffy costumes based on their corresponding Sanrio partner’s appearance, with embroidered details and oversized hoods that frame their original facial expressions.

Measuring approximately 15 cm tall, each mascot also includes a metal push clasp that allows it to be attached to a bag, backpack or set of keys.

Chiikawa appears dressed as My Melody in a soft pink bunny costume featuring long ears and a pale blue bow, while Hachiware takes on Hello Kitty’s iconic appearance with her red bow, white hood and bright blue outfit.

Usagi transforms into Pompompurin in an oversized yellow puppy costume, complete with floppy ears and the Sanrio character’s trademark brown beret.

Momonga is paired with Kuromi, wearing her mischievous black hood with pointed ears and a skull emblem, which complements the Chiikawa character’s playful personality.

Two further designs feature Kurimanju dressed as Hangyodon in a turquoise costume with large eyes and decorative frills, alongside Furuhonya, also known to fans as Kani, wearing Cinnamoroll’s soft white outfit with oversized floppy ears and pale blue detailing.

All six “Chiikawa × Sanrio Characters Kiramekko Plush Mascot Keychains” are now officially available to purchase individually through Sanrio’s US online store, priced at $29.99 each, with purchases limited to two of each design per order.
