Bandai Announces US Re-Release for G Gundam's Exclusive HG Death Beast Gunpla Kit

Bandai has officially confirmed a new US release for an exclusive High Grade Gunpla kit of one of Mobile Fighter G Gundam’s most unique enemy mobile suits.

The “HG 1/144 Death Beast” is a variation of the standard Death Army mobile suit which combines its familiar upper body with a much larger quadrupedal lower section.

Originally released in 2020, the kit gives the mass-produced mobile suit a silhouette unlike almost anything else in the HG Future Century lineup, with four large legs supporting the Death Army body above.

The Death Army’s original legs are folded up and mounted across the rear using a dedicated connector, while the four separate legs forming the new lower body can each be repositioned independently.

Bandai also includes replacement foot parts that allow the Death Beast’s hover configuration to be recreated, giving builders another display option beyond its standard four-legged stance.

Its weapons include the newly molded Death Rifle alongside the familiar club-shaped Beam Rifle, while an additional expressive left hand provides another option for more animated poses.

The kit remains one of the more visually striking variations of the mass-produced Death Army, making it a great addition for fans to add to their G Gundam collections to pose alongside God Gundam and Master Gundam.

US fans are now getting another opportunity to secure the kit, with pre-orders for the “HG 1/144 Death Beast” currently open exclusively through Premium Bandai US.

Pre-orders opened on September 4, 2026, and are scheduled to remain available until January 16, 2027, although orders will close early if the available allocation sells out.
