Cardcaptor Sakura and axes femme Unveil Second Official Fashion Collab Collection
Image by James RichardsonCardcaptor Sakura is returning to Japanese fashion brand axes femme for a second official collaboration, with a new collection using characters, cards and magical symbols from across the series as inspiration for clothing and accessories.
The six-item range includes a cardigan, blouse, skirt, beret, detachable collar and stole, with embroidery, lace, charms and character-specific colors used throughout the designs.
Created by CLAMP, Cardcaptor Sakura began serialization in 1996 and follows Sakura Kinomoto after she accidentally releases the magical Clow Cards, leaving her responsible for tracking them down with the help of Kero and her friends.
The story later moved from the Clow Cards to Sakura Cards before continuing with the Clear Card arc, giving axes femme several different eras of the series to reference throughout the new collection.
This is the second collaboration between Cardcaptor Sakura and axes femme, following an earlier collection released in Spring 2025 that included a blouse, skirt, cardigan, beret and tote bag inspired by Sakura’s different cards, keys and costumes.
Cardcaptor Sakura has also received several other collaborations during 2026, including a recent Sanrio collection that dressed characters such as Hello Kitty in outfits inspired by Sakura’s magical costumes.

For axes femme’s latest collection, one of the main items is a cardigan available in four colors representing Sakura Kinomoto, Tomoyo Daidouji, Syaoran Li and Yue.
Each version uses different embroidered symbols connected with its character, including Sakura’s flowers, wings and stars, Tomoyo’s musical notes and sewing needle, Syaoran’s compass and Yue’s snowflakes and book motif.
Colored rhinestones, pearls and contrasting Chinese-style buttons add further differences between the four designs without changing the overall shape of the cardigan.
The rest of the collection continues the same approach with references to Kero, Yue, Sakura’s costumes and all three generations of magical cards spread across clothing and accessories.

Available in Sakura, Tomoyo, Syaoran and Yue-inspired colors, with different embroidered symbols, rhinestones, pearls and contrasting buttons for each character.
- Cardcaptor Sakura Blouse – ¥7,700 (approximately $49 / £37)
Available in white and black, with Kero and Yue represented through sun and moon embroidery around the collar and additional series motifs running down the front and sleeves.
- Cardcaptor Sakura Skirt – ¥9,900 (approximately $63 / £47)
Features embroidered Clow Card, Sakura Card and Clear Card motifs, with Kero-themed tulle lace and star and cherry blossom charms attached to its ribbon details.
- Cardcaptor Sakura Beret – ¥4,400 (approximately $28 / £21)
Comes in four character-inspired colors representing Sakura, Tomoyo, Syaoran and Yue, with a removable Kero charm, wing embroidery and colored beads and pearls.
- Cardcaptor Sakura Detachable Collar – ¥5,500 (approximately $35 / £26)
Inspired by Sakura’s costumes, with symmetrical wing embroidery across the front, a Sakura Card book motif on the back and star and cherry blossom charms attached to its ribbon.
- Cardcaptor Sakura Stole – ¥5,500 (approximately $35 / £26)
Uses embroidered Clow Card, Sakura Card and Clear Card imagery with flowers, wings, moons and suns, finished with Kero-themed embroidered tulle lace above the fringe.
The collection will first become available through the axes femme official online store from 12:00 PM JST on September 23, with online orders currently expected to begin shipping in early October.
Selected axes femme stores across Japan will begin selling the collection from October 3, with participating locations including stores in Sapporo, Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Okayama and Fukuoka.
The collection will also be sold through ZOZOTOWN, giving Japanese buyers an additional online option for picking up the new Cardcaptor Sakura designs.
