My Melody & Kuromi’s Netflix series gets a full merch collection
A new series of merchandise has been announced based on designs from the upcoming original Netflix series “My Melody & Kuromi.”
The new product line features a wide array of items designed to replicate the comical appearances and poses of the characters as they appear in the new show.
This upcoming series is a significant project for Sanrio, as it celebrates the 50th anniversary of My Melody and the 20th anniversary of her self-proclaimed rival, Kuromi.
The show is being produced as a stop-motion animation series by TORUKU, a subsidiary of the acclaimed WIT STUDIO, and will present the characters and their world of Mariland in a new, handcrafted style.
The highly anticipated series is set to release on Netflix this July and is sure to be a hit with fans, with its adorable animation, cute storylines and catchy theme song by popular K-Pop group LE SSERAFIM.
The new merchandise collection is designed to capture the specific look and feel of this new animated production.
The full lineup of items includes:
- Plush Toys (3 varieties): ¥3,300 each
These plush toys feature movable limbs, allowing them to be posed to match scenes from the anime.
- Mascot Holders (6 varieties):
- ¥2,497 each
These are small, plush keychains designed to replicate specific expressions and poses from the new series.
- Acrylic Keyholders (3 varieties):
- ¥792 each
These keyholders feature expressive, character-shaped acrylic charms that can be detached and used as zipper pulls.
- Drawstring Bag Set:
- ¥1,793
A set of three different-sized drawstring bags for organizing small items like cosmetics or mobile accessories.
- Pass Cases (3 varieties):
- ¥2,200 each
These pass cases are made from a soft, fluffy boa material and include a zippered pocket for storing cards or coins.
- Paper Tape Set:

A set of decorative paper tapes that can be easily torn by hand, suitable for crafting, decorating, or wrapping gifts.
- Tote Bag:

An A4-sized tote bag with convenient side pockets and a D-ring for attaching keychains or mascot holders.

A set of decorative stickers featuring the expressive characters from the show.

This is a “blind box” series of small figures based on scenes from the anime, featuring a soft, fuzzy “flocky” texture. A complete set of all nine can also be purchased, depending on store availability.
This new merchandise collection will be available at official Sanrio stores, Sanrio corners in department stores, and the official Sanrio online shop.
The products are scheduled to be released on Thursday, the 17th of July, 2025, with online sales starting at 10:00 JST.
