My Hero Academia Celebrates 10th Anniversary With New Video Game
Japanese mobile gaming company gumi has announced a new joint development with KLab for a brand-new video game based on the My Hero Academia franchise.
“My Hero Academia UNITED SURVIVAL” serves as a major project to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the popular animated series.
My Hero Academia is a globally recognized manga created by Kohei Horikoshi that ran in Weekly Shonen Jump for an entire decade.
The series boasts a massive worldwide circulation of over 100 million copies, continuing to entertain millions of fans.
The story unfolds in a world where approximately 80 percent of the population possesses a supernatural ability known as a Quirk.
Fans follow the journey of protagonist Izuku Midoriya and his classmates as they strive to become professional heroes who protect society from criminals who abuse their powers.
The television adaptation began broadcasting in 2016 and will conclude with its eighth and final season in 2025, totaling 170 episodes alongside multiple theatrical films.
This new video game announcement perfectly complements the recently revealed “ANI-ROCK FES. 2026 My Hero Academia PLUS ULTRA LIVE” music festival.
The two-day concert event will take place on Sunday, November 22, and Monday, November 23, 2026, to celebrate the massive anime anniversary milestone.
It will feature various artists who provided theme songs for the television series gathering to perform live at the Yoyogi National Stadium First Gymnasium in Tokyo.
To further build excitement for the franchise, a brand-new key visual and teaser trailer for the game have been officially released.
These promotional visual materials were exclusively drawn by Bones Film, the talented animation studio responsible for producing the television series.
The game will be available as a free-to-play title with optional in-game purchases for users to enjoy.
The digital release is scheduled to launch worldwide, with the exception of mainland China.
Players will be able to download the title across multiple platforms, including the App Store, Google Play, and PC via Windows.
