Jaleco Sports: Bases Loaded II Launches on PS5 and Switch

Publisher Rock It Games and developer Sickhead Games announced the release of Jaleco Sports: Bases Loaded II for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on April 2, 2026.
The title is available immediately on digital storefronts for $7.99.
This release is a digital collection featuring five different baseball titles originally released for various platforms between 1988 and 1994.
Included in the package is Bases Loaded II: Second Season, which first launched for the Nintendo Entertainment System in North America in January 1990 after a 1988 debut in Japan.

The collection also features the Japanese Famicom version known as Moero!! Pro Yakyuu ’88 Kettei Ban from August 10, 1988.

Players can access three 16-bit era titles, including Super Bases Loaded II from 1994 and the 1992 Japanese release Super 3D Baseball.

The fifth game in the compilation is Hanguk Pro Yagu, which was originally released for the Korean Super Comboy in 1994.

Bases Loaded II was noted for introducing Player Performance Ratings to simulate athlete hot streaks and slumps across physical, sensitivity, and intellectual categories.

The Super Nintendo sequel included in this set was the first baseball game for that hardware to utilize the DSP-1 chip for Mode 7 camera effects.

Sickhead Games, an American studio founded in 2002, handled the development of these modern ports as part of their specialty in bringing retro classics to current systems.

Rock It Games continues its mission of preserving retro and indie titles through both digital and physical publishing efforts following its launch in early 2024.
Also launched on the same day was Jaleco Sports: Goal! 2, which is also available on PS5 and Switch.
