hololive Stars Become Gundam Pilots in New Crossover Artwork

Bandai Namco has officially revealed exciting new artwork for the massive collaboration between the hit mecha franchise Mobile Suit Gundam and the popular VTuber agency hololive Production.
This expansive partnership blends the high-tech sci-fi universe with the colorful personalities of the virtual streaming talents.

Organizers have provided fans with a thrilling visual update regarding the initial wave of character and mobile suit pairings originally announced back in March 2026.

Brand new illustrations have been created showcasing the first group of VTubers wearing their official pilot suits, alongside new mini-character designs and pilot specific emblems for each streamer which have been applied to the collaborative mobile suit designs to create a more authentic in-universe feel:
- “Nu Gundam x Sakura Miko”



Featuring the iconic mobile suit painted in the signature colors of the elite shrine maiden.


- “Sazabi x Hoshimachi Suisei”



Showcasing the powerful Zeon mecha customized for the stellar idol.


- “Gundam Exia x Shirakami Fubuki”



Highlighting the sleek close-combat suit tailored for the energetic fox girl.


- “Crossbone Gundam X1 x Houshou Marine”



Presenting the pirate-themed mecha perfectly suited for the popular virtual pirate captain.


- “Freedom Gundam x Hakui Koyori”



Featuring the highly advanced mobile suit adorned in the style of the inquisitive researcher.

Following the visual update for the original roster, organizers also announced six brand new character and mecha combinations.
This highly anticipated second wave introduces fresh original colored mobile suits designed specifically to match the aesthetic and branding of each newly participating internet personality:
- “Unicorn Gundam x Usada Pekora”

Featuring the iconic transforming mobile suit painted in the signature white and blue colors of the chaotic rabbit talent.

- “Wing Gundam Zero EW x Oozora Subaru”

Showcasing the angelic winged mecha perfectly matched with the energetic and athletic virtual manager.

- “Providence Gundam x Tsunomaki Watame”

Presenting the imposing boss mecha tailored to contrast the fluffy and gentle sheep VTuber.

- “Gundam Epyon x Mori Calliope”

Highlighting the fierce close-combat suit paired effortlessly with the English-speaking grim reaper.

- “Destiny Gundam x IRyS”

Showcasing the versatile high-performance machine matched with the powerful half-demon, half-angel singer.

- “Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina x Todoroki Hajime”

Featuring the striking black and gold mobile suit complementing the confident and stylish virtual talent.

It is fully expected that the mobile suit designs for each character will be turned into orderable Gunpla kits, with pre-orders expected to open later this summer.

This exciting crossover news closely follows a massive digital presentation that confirmed that Japan’s Anniversary Association has established April 7 as the official “Gundam Day” to honor the original 1979 anime premiere.

The “Gundam Conference Spring 2026” stream also kicked off the franchise’s fiftieth-anniversary celebrations with a brand new anime short video titled “A Boy with Gundam”.

Bandai Namco used the massive platform to announce a monumental restoration project for the original “Mobile Suit Gundam” broadcast anime.

Viewers were also treated to the thrilling reveal that the highly anticipated “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO” project will be a full theatrical release.

Followers of the alternate century timeline received confirmation that a mysterious new “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing” anime project is actively in development.

The digital presentation concluded with the bittersweet confirmation that the life-size “Unicorn Gundam” statue in Odaiba will permanently end its public display at the end of August 2026.
