Baskin-Robbins' Pokémon Collab Returns for 2026 with 30th Anniversary Inspired Menu

Baskin-Robbins Japan has unveiled its annual Pokémon Summer campaign for 2026, introducing a wide range of exclusive frozen treats, desserts, and collectibles to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green.

Originally released in 1996, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green introduced players to the Kanto region and its original 151 Pokémon, launching one of the world’s biggest entertainment franchises that continues to attract fans across multiple generations.

The annual collaboration between Pokémon and Baskin-Robbins returns following a successful summer campaign last year.

Running throughout August, this year’s campaign shines a spotlight on Pikachu alongside the first partner Pokémon from every main series region, from Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle through to Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly.

Leading this year’s lineup is the new Pikachu’s Volt Tackle Pine Squash flavor, priced at ¥420 (approx. $3 USD / £2 GBP) for a regular single scoop, inspired by Pikachu’s signature Electric-type attack and blending pineapple-flavored sorbet with refreshing soda-flavored sorbet and an increased amount of popping candy to recreate the crackling energy of Volt Tackle.

The returning Pokémon Double Cup lets you choose two scoops of ice cream served in one of three collectible cup designs featuring Pikachu alongside starter Pokémon from all nine regions, with every purchase also including a randomly selected commemorative spoon and one of 30 collectible Pokémon stickers while supplies last.

The Pokémon Double Cup is priced at ¥510 (approx. $4 USD / £3 GBP) for a Small Double or ¥760 (approx. $5 USD / £4 GBP) for a Regular Double, with each purchase also including one of three possible spoon designs featuring Pikachu and one of the Kanto starters.

Every purchase of a Pokémon Double Cup will also receive a free die-cut sticker.

A brand-new Pokéball Sundae joins the campaign with your choice of a small scoop priced at ¥820 (approx. $6 USD / £4 GBP), topped with whipped cream, colorful sprinkles, and a large Pikachu chocolate decoration, while a random Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle pick completes the presentation inside a reusable Pokéball-shaped cup.

Ditto takes center stage in the new Ditto Crush Soda, priced at ¥760 (approx. $5 USD / £4 GBP), combining grape and pineapple syrups that gradually transform into Ditto’s signature purple color alongside fizzy soda, crunchy ice and grape jelly for an interactive summer drink.

Fans looking to take treats home can choose the Pokémon Summer Special Set, priced at ¥3,520 (approx. $24 USD / £18 GBP) with small scoops or ¥4,100 (approx. $28 USD / £21 GBP) with regular scoops, which includes nine ice creams packed in a Monster Ball-themed box with two exclusive stainless steel spoons, nine collectible plastic sundae spoons and Pokémon-themed packaging featuring Pikachu, Eevee and partner Pokémon from across the series.

The popular Pokémon Variety Box also returns with updated artwork featuring starter Pokémon from every region across boxes containing four, six, eight or 12 scoops of your choice.

The Pokémon Variety Box is priced from ¥1,360 to ¥3,400 (approx. $9 USD to $23 USD / £7 GBP to £17 GBP) for small scoops or from ¥1,680 to ¥4,200 (approx. $11 USD to $29 USD / £9 GBP to £22 GBP), depending on the number of ice creams selected and box size.

The campaign also refreshes Baskin-Robbins’ Pokémon ice cream cake lineup with an updated Party Version of the Pikachu Ice Cream Cake, priced at ¥3,800 (approx. $26 USD / £20 GBP), featuring decorative party accessories and limited-edition packaging.

A new version of the Pokémon Palette 6 cake is also available, priced at ¥4,200 (approx. $29 USD / £22 GBP), featuring six Pokémon-themed slices with a variety of popular ice cream flavors.

The 2026 Pokémon Summer campaign will run at participating Baskin-Robbins Japan stores from August 1 through August 31, with the refreshed Pokémon ice cream cakes remaining part of the regular line-up even after the promotional period ends.
