Good Smile Opens Pre-Orders for Bloody New Berserk Guts Nendoroid
Image by Charlotte DavisGood Smile Company has announced the start of pre-orders for a new Nendoroid based on Guts’ fearsome Berserker Armor form from Berserk, with the BLOOD EDITION introducing a dramatically more battle-worn finish to the fan-favorite release.
Berserk is Kentaro Miura’s acclaimed dark fantasy manga, following the journey of the Black Swordsman Guts as he battles demonic Apostles, confronts the betrayal of Griffith, and struggles against the overwhelming darkness threatening to consume him.
One of the series’ defining moments sees Guts don the cursed Berserker Armor, an ancient suit forged by dwarves that unlocks incredible power by suppressing pain and fear while slowly driving its wearer toward complete madness.
This latest Nendoroid revisits that unforgettable transformation, capturing the armored warrior in Good Smile Company’s recognizable chibi style while preserving the intimidating appearance that made the original release so popular with Berserk collectors.
The biggest difference between the previously released Nendoroid and the new BLOOD EDITION is the paintwork, with realistic blood splatter spread across the armor to recreate the aftermath of Guts’ most brutal battles and further emphasize the savage nature of the Berserker Armor.
The approximately 10 cm figure comes equipped with Guts’ massive Dragon Slayer sword, alongside the cannon concealed within his prosthetic arm to recreate several memorable combat scenes from the manga.
An alternate roaring helmet part is also included, allowing collectors to display the Beast of Darkness persona that emerges whenever the armor completely overwhelms Guts’ mind during battle.
The sculpt faithfully recreates the distinctive wolf-like helmet, layered armor plating and mechanical details that define one of Berserk’s most iconic designs, while articulated joints provide a wide range of expressive display options.
Collectors who already own the original Berserker Armor Nendoroid will also find plenty to appreciate, as the BLOOD EDITION delivers a noticeably different visual presence while retaining the detailed sculpt and accessory selection of the earlier release.
Priced at ¥7,500 (approx. $51 USD/£38 GBP), the Nendoroid Guts: Berserker Armor Ver. BLOOD EDITION is available to pre-order from the Good Smile Company Online Store and reputable hobby retailers such as HobbyLink Japan.
The figure is currently scheduled for release in January 2027.
