Hello Kitty gets her own range of retro-themed kawaii kitchen accessories

The specialty kitchen supply retailer “212 KITCHEN STORE” has launched a new collaboration with Sanrio to create a range of kitchen items based on one of their most popular characters.

The HELLO KITTY ‘HAPPY PLATE’ collection is a massive release of approximately 90 different items, marking the first time Hello Kitty has been featured in a promotion with the store.

The collaboration is built around two different design themes, both of which are based on a retro art style from the 1970s.

The first theme is a “Cafeteria” concept, which features Hello Kitty and her twin sister, Mimmy, as the mascots for a cheerful diner.

The second theme is a “General Store” concept, which depicts the characters working in a cute local shop.

These two themes are applied across an extensive range of products covering nearly every aspect of daily kitchen and dining life.
