My Dress-Up Darling Fully Unveils Its New Official $8,000 Life-Size Marin Kitagawa Statue
Image by James RichardsonPrime 1 Studio has fully unveiled its enormous life-size statue of Marin Kitagawa from My Dress-Up Darling, confirming its full details ahead of the impending start of pre-orders.
The “Life Scale Masterline My Dress-Up Darling Marin Kitagawa” recreates the anime’s cosplay-loving heroine at 1:1 scale, complete with removable fabric clothing, interchangeable arm parts and carefully reproduced details from her original appearance.

My Dress-Up Darling began as a manga series by Shinichi Fukuda in 2018 before receiving an anime adaptation from CloverWorks in 2022, following aspiring Hina doll craftsman Wakana Gojo and his outgoing classmate Marin Kitagawa.

Marin is passionate about anime, games and cosplay but lacks the sewing skills needed to create her own costumes, eventually turning to Gojo for help and developing a close relationship with him through their shared creative experiences.

Prime 1 Studio first revealed the life-size Marin Kitagawa statue during its NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE XIX presentation in September, offering an initial look at the design without confirming its price or release schedule.

The latest announcement provides a more detailed look at the finished design alongside additional technical specifications, revealing the scale of Prime 1 Studio’s most ambitious Marin Kitagawa collectible to date.

Standing approximately 164 cm tall to match Marin’s official height, the statue recreates her relaxed standing pose and slim proportions, with her long blonde hair sculpted to capture its flowing appearance and familiar pink-tipped coloring.

Particular attention has been given to Marin’s face, including the shape of her eyes, their reflective highlights and the subtle contours of her cheeks, with carefully applied paintwork intended to recreate her complexion from the anime.

Smaller details include her earrings, black and silver bracelets and individually decorated fingernails, which feature painted tips finished with glitter.

The statue also includes two interchangeable left arms, allowing collectors to display Marin either making a peace sign or holding her hand open, providing different poses without changing the main sculpt.

One of its defining features is the use of genuine fabric for Marin’s school uniform, with Prime 1 Studio recreating her white blouse, necktie and skirt as individually tailored garments rather than sculpting them directly onto the statue.

These pieces can be removed to reveal the black bikini decorated with yellow flowers that Marin wears during the memorable measurement scene in Episode 2 of the anime’s first season.

This allows collectors to choose between her everyday school appearance and the swimsuit look from one of the earliest moments in the relationship between Marin and Gojo.

The statue is constructed using fiber-reinforced plastic, cloth, metal and other materials, with the complete display weighing approximately 36.33 kg.

Its dimensions also vary according to the selected arm configuration, measuring approximately 78 cm wide and 79 cm deep with the open hand, or 55 cm wide and 62 cm deep when displaying the peace sign.

A dedicated display base is included, with the overall size and weight making this a considerably more substantial collectible than the scale figures usually released for the series.

Prime 1 Studio has previously released a smaller 1/4 scale Premium Masterline Marin Kitagawa statue that also uses removable fabric clothing, although that version reveals a lingerie outfit rather than the swimsuit included with the life-size edition.

Marin has also received several other figures throughout 2026, including a Halloween-themed 1/7 scale release featuring an original seasonal costume, showing how her changing fashion and cosplay appearances continue to inspire new collectibles.

Pre-orders for the “Life Scale Masterline My Dress-Up Darling Marin Kitagawa” will officially open through Prime 1 Studio’s online store on October 23, 2026, at 6 AM GMT (2 AM ET / 11 PM PT on October 22), priced at $7,999.
Shipping is currently expected between March and June 2028, with the final production quantity yet to be announced.
