Zelda’s New Official Rupee Pouch Turns Its Currency Into an Everyday Accessory

One of The Legend of Zelda’s most familiar in-game items is being turned into something fans can carry with them through a new silicone pouch shaped like a Rupee.
The new “The Legend of Zelda Rupee Silicone Pouch BOOK” recreates the series’ crystal-shaped currency as a three-dimensional case for small everyday items, with a built-in attachment allowing it to double as a bag charm.

The “BOOK” designation comes from Japanese publisher Takarajimasha’s branded merchandise series, which releases officially licensed items in special book-style packaging under its publishing label.

Rupees have served as the main currency throughout almost the entire Legend of Zelda series, appearing in different colors and values as Link collects them from treasure chests, enemies, pots, and the wider world before spending them on equipment and other useful items.

The new pouch arrives during Zelda’s 40th anniversary year, which has already produced several other physical recreations of items from Hyrule, including the recently revealed “Hyrule Collection” Ichiban Kuji with a pot-shaped coin bank that plays the familiar Rupee pickup sound.

“The Legend of Zelda Rupee Silicone Pouch BOOK” uses soft silicone to reproduce the angular Rupee silhouette, measuring approximately 11.5 cm tall, 6 cm wide, and 4.7 cm deep at its largest points.

The front keeps the gem-like shape as the main focus, while the reverse carries The Legend of Zelda logo and opens to reveal enough space for smaller items such as wireless earbuds, coins, or lip balm.

A clip at the top allows the pouch to be attached to a backpack or other bag and worn as a large Zelda charm, while its sculpted shape also means it can simply be kept on display when it isn’t being used for storage.

It will launch alongside the returning “The Legend of Zelda Heart Container Interior Light BOOK,” which recreates another long-running Zelda item as a compact display light with a soft red glow and its own stand.

The Heart Container light originally launched in 2023 and will receive a new production run alongside the Rupee pouch, giving the two releases a shared focus on turning recognizable items from the games into practical home and lifestyle goods.

Nintendo has also been revisiting several of Zelda’s best-known pieces of equipment during the anniversary, including the 105 cm Master Sword PROPLICA returning in 2027 and premium metal puzzle sets based on the Master Sword and Hylian Shield.

“The Legend of Zelda Rupee Silicone Pouch BOOK” will be released in Japan on November 2, 2026, through Takarajimasha’s official Takarajima Channel store, Lawson, and HMV&BOOKS online, with some physical locations excluded from the release.

The pouch is priced at ¥2,992 (approximately $19 / £14), with Takarajimasha confirming that it will not be distributed through regular bookstores.
