Sosuke Aizen is set to make an immediate return in BLEACH’s next major game, with the iconic antagonist chosen to headline its first limited-time character event.
“[The One Who Stands in Heaven] Sosuke Aizen” will join “BLEACH Mirrors High” through the first limited gacha released after launch, with longtime voice actor Sho Hayami once again returning to the role.

Bandai Namco revealed Aizen during the game’s final pre-launch SPECIAL BROADCAST, where Hayami appeared as the previously unannounced guest and delivered a live line before the character’s dedicated reveal trailer was shown.

The new ★4 character takes his name from one of Aizen’s defining moments in the original BLEACH story, when the seemingly mild-mannered Fifth Division captain finally exposes his betrayal of Soul Society and declares his intention to stand above everyone else.

That scene completely transforms Aizen’s role within the series, revealing the extent of the deception surrounding his apparent death and establishing him as one of BLEACH’s central antagonists.

His Zanpakuto, Kyoka Suigetsu, becomes equally central to that deception through its Complete Hypnosis ability, allowing Aizen to manipulate the senses of anyone who has witnessed its release.

Aizen and Kyoka Suigetsu have continued to receive attention throughout BLEACH’s ongoing 25th anniversary celebrations, most recently inspiring a dedicated varsity jacket and shoulder bag in Graniph’s official Zanpakuto-themed fashion collection.

Bandai Namco has also published both the standard ★4 artwork and limit-break artwork for “[The One Who Stands in Heaven] Sosuke Aizen,” although full details of his abilities and battle role have yet to be announced.

His inclusion gives Mirrors High a major antagonist almost immediately after launch, joining an initial playable roster that already includes Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Byakuya Kuchiki, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, Uryu Ishida, Yoruichi Shihoin, and other established characters from across BLEACH.

Mirrors High itself takes place after the Thousand-Year Blood War and follows an original story in which players awaken in Karakura Town before beginning their own journey as a Soul Reaper.

The player-created protagonist can be customized alongside their Zanpakuto, while a growing group of original rookie Soul Reapers designed by Tite Kubo forms another major part of the new storyline.

Bandai Namco previously revealed the game’s first original protagonists and wider story setup, with Kubo contributing character designs and development input to the project.

Hayami’s return as Aizen also comes ahead of another major BLEACH appearance for the actor, with him already confirmed among the extensive voice cast appearing at BLEACH FES. in 2027.

“BLEACH Mirrors High” launches worldwide for iOS and Android on October 28, 2026 as a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.

“[The One Who Stands in Heaven] Sosuke Aizen” will become available through the game’s first limited-time gacha immediately after service begins and is scheduled to remain obtainable until November 24 at 2:59 PM JST.
