Pokémon Releases New 30th Anniversary Collection Starring Every Starter from Kanto to Hoenn
Pokémon has officially released the first part of a new 30th anniversary collection celebrating the partners that started millions of adventures, beginning with all nine starter Pokémon from Kanto, Johto and Hoenn.
The “Pokémon Journey with You! Anniversary: The Dawn of Adventure” collection brings Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle together with Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip across three miniature displays inspired by the opening stages of their respective regions.
Japanese miniature figure manufacturer Re-Ment first revealed the full three-part “Journey with You! Anniversary” project earlier this year, confirming that every generation of starter Pokémon from Kanto through Paldea would be represented across releases arriving throughout November.
This opening wave goes back to Pokémon’s earliest adventures, with each display recreating one generation’s trio of potential first partners travelling together through a small environment inspired by the beginning of a Pokémon journey.
The Kanto scene brings together Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, the three original choices offered to players when Pokémon Red and Green launched for the Game Boy in Japan in 1996.
Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile represent Johto, continuing the collection through Pokémon Gold and Silver and the second generation of the series.
Hoenn completes the first set with Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip, recreating the trio introduced in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
Rather than separating each starter into an individual figure, Re-Ment groups all three Pokémon from each region onto a single scenic base, allowing each display to represent the choice players faced at the beginning of those games.
That approach also distinguishes the collection from many of Pokémon’s other 30th anniversary releases, which have frequently focused on individual characters or larger assortments spread across separate merchandise.
Re-Ment has already contributed another commemorative release to the series’ anniversary year, with the “Pokémon Terrarium Collection 10 Pokémon 30th Anniversary Ver.” bringing back six previously released mini figures with newly redesigned anniversary bases.
“Journey with You! Anniversary” instead stretches across the franchise’s entire regional history, with two further collections still set to expand the lineup beyond the first three generations.
The second wave, “A New Journey Begins,” will bring together the starter trios from Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos, while the final “The Road to Tomorrow” collection will cover Alola, Galar and Paldea.
Together, the three releases will form nine regional displays featuring every starter Pokémon introduced across the main series during Pokémon’s first 30 years.
The “Pokémon Journey with You! Anniversary: The Dawn of Adventure” collection officially launched through hobby goods retailers, such as HobbyLink Japan, November 2, 2026, priced at ¥2,090 (approximately $13 / £10) per blind-boxed figure.
“A New Journey Begins” will follow on November 16, before “The Road to Tomorrow” completes the 30th anniversary series on November 30.
