Tamagotchi Reveals New 30th Anniversary K-Beauty Cosmetics Collab Collection
Image by James RichardsonKorean beauty brand INNISFREE has officially unveiled a new limited-edition cosmetics and skincare collaboration celebrating Tamagotchi’s 30th anniversary.
The new “Tamagotchi × INNISFREE” collection gives some of the brand’s most popular beauty products colorful packaging inspired by the virtual pets, alongside exclusive accessories including miniature pouches, smartphone grips and mirrors.

Tamagotchi first launched in Japan in November 1996, introducing a pocket-sized digital pet that players could raise and care for by feeding it, cleaning up after it and playing simple games.

The franchise has since grown into a worldwide phenomenon, with characters such as Mametchi, Kuchipatchi and Furawatchi becoming familiar faces across generations of virtual pets, games and merchandise.
INNISFREE is a Korean skincare brand established in 2000, known for combining botanical ingredients sourced from Jeju Island with modern beauty technology, particularly through its popular green tea skincare range.

Tamagotchi has previously made its way into the beauty industry, with Bandai’s cosmetics brand CreerBeaute launching a collection of lip and cheek balms in 2025 that came in miniature containers modelled after classic virtual pet devices.

Its 30th anniversary celebrations have also seen Bandai unveil the world’s smallest Tamagotchi, a new ring-sized version featuring a color display and 30 different characters to raise.

For this latest collaboration, INNISFREE has created special Tamagotchi editions of its bestselling No-Sebum Mineral Powder, Green Tea skincare products and two facial serums, with several items accompanied by exclusive collectibles.
