New line of Tamagotchi-themed cosmetics are shaped just like the iconic virtual pet
A new line of cosmetics has been announced by CreerBeaute, the makeup brand operated by Bandai, which is themed around the classic Tamagotchi virtual pets.
The new “Tamagotchi Custom!! Lip & Cheek” is a color balm that comes in a miniature, collectible container shaped exactly like a classic Tamagotchi shell.
CreerBeaute is a brand that specializes in creating high-quality, functional cosmetics in collaboration with popular character franchises.
This new collection is a deep dive into nostalgia, with the miniature containers replicating the designs of some of the most popular Tamagotchi models from the 1990s and 2000s.
The product features a unique customization gimmick.
Each cosmetic comes with two extra screen stickers, which can be placed over the default character on the miniature screen to change which Tamagotchi “pet” is being displayed.
The collection features four different versions, each based on a classic shell design and containing a different shade of color balm.
The four versions are as follows:
- Original Tamagotchi (Transparent Pink)
Contains a “Rich Red” balm and features Kuchipatchi, with extra stickers for Mametchi and Ginjirotchi.
- New Species Found!! Tamagotchi (Transparent Yellow)
Contains a “Classic Coral” balm and features Hashizotchi, with extra stickers for Pochitchi and Mimitchi.
- K-tama (Strawberry Milk)
Contains a “Sweet Pink” balm and features Flowertchi, with extra stickers for Ichigotchi and Kuchipatchi.
- K-tama (Mizu-iro Blue)
Contains a “Ruby Red” balm and features Memetchi, with extra stickers for Mametchi and Gozarutchi.
The packaging for the products is also designed to replicate the nostalgic look of the original Tamagotchi blister packaging.
The “Tamagotchi Custom!! Lip & Cheek” is priced at ¥1,100 each, and is scheduled to be released at convenience stores, variety shops, and other retailers across Japan starting on Monday, the 29th of September, 2025.
