Bandai has fully revealed its premium Infinite Justice Gundam figure from Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO, confirming its complete accessory lineup and the official opening date for pre-orders.

The “METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Infinite Justice Gundam (SEED FREEDOM ZERO Ver.)” recreates Athrun Zala’s Mobile Suit with a revised color scheme, newly sculpted head, and the Hayato no Tate shield introduced for the theatrical prequel.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO takes place between Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY and the hugely successful 2024 movie Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM, exploring events that occurred after the collapse of Gilbert Durandal’s Destiny Plan.

The story follows Shinn Asuka, Kira Yamato, Athrun Zala, and other returning characters during the establishment of the international peacekeeping organization COMPASS, with the theft of the Strike Freedom Gundam setting the stage for another conflict.

Athrun’s Infinite Justice Gundam originally appeared during the final stages of SEED DESTINY, succeeding his earlier Justice Gundam and incorporating an extensive arsenal of close-combat weapons, including beam blades mounted across its body.

By the events of SEED FREEDOM, Athrun instead pilots the upgraded Infinite Justice Gundam Type II, which is initially concealed beneath the armor of a Z’Gok before being revealed during the movie’s climactic battle.

Bandai first revealed the METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Infinite Justice Gundam during New York Comic Con earlier this month, confirming its movie-specific appearance and equipment without detailing the complete accessory lineup.

The full unveiling provides a closer look at its articulation, interchangeable parts, and the different combat configurations that collectors will be able to recreate.

Standing approximately 14 cm tall, the figure builds on the original METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Infinite Justice Gundam released in 2018, retaining its established proportions while introducing an entirely new head sculpt designed to match the Mobile Suit’s appearance in FREEDOM ZERO.

Bandai has also updated the coloring of the main body and detachable Fatum-01 flight unit, replacing the brighter pink tones of the earlier release with a revised finish based on the movie.

Original mechanical markings have been applied across the armor, with a combination of ABS, PVC, and die-cast metal components providing additional weight and structural support.

Metal construction extends through several major joints and structural sections, including the chest, waist, elbows, hips, legs and feet, allowing collectors to display the Mobile Suit in dynamic combat poses.

One of the biggest additions is the Hayato no Tate, a large shield developed for FREEDOM ZERO that incorporates movable wings and several offensive and defensive configurations.

Its side sections can be extended into a wider configuration, with translucent beam effects allowing the weapon to be displayed either projecting a defensive barrier or preparing to strike an opponent.

An additional support stand allows the Hayato no Tate to be displayed independently in flight, recreating the shield being launched away from the Infinite Justice Gundam.

The figure also retains the Mobile Suit’s original Beam Carry Shield, complete with a removable Shining Edge Beam Boomerang and a Grapple Stinger anchor claw that can be extended.

Separate beam effects recreate the defensive barrier projected by the original shield, providing additional options for combining the Infinite Justice Gundam’s existing equipment with its movie-specific weapon.

Other accessories include a High-Energy Beam Rifle, two Super Lacerta Beam Sabers, an additional connected saber grip, and multiple interchangeable hands for creating different attack poses.

Griffon Beam Blade effects can also be attached to the Mobile Suit’s legs, allowing collectors to reproduce Athrun’s signature kicking attacks.

The detachable Fatum-01 backpack features its own articulated wings and Griffon 2 Beam Blade effects, with the entire unit capable of separating from the Infinite Justice Gundam to operate as an independent flight platform.

The Mobile Suit can be positioned riding on the Fatum-01, with both the flight unit and Hayato no Tate also capable of being displayed simultaneously as independent weapons.

A dedicated display base and articulated support arm are included, with the base updated to feature the Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO logo.

The Infinite Justice joins several other collectibles announced for the movie, including the “HG 1/144 Infinite Justice Gundam & Booster Unit” Gunpla kit, which recreates Athrun’s Mobile Suit with the same Hayato no Tate shield and an additional booster attachment.
