Seiko Reveals New Official Lupin III Watch Inspired by Daisuke Jigen

The “Lupin III Chronograph Daisuke Jigen Model” is a Seiko-made chronograph released through Japanese premium character merchandise brand PREMICO, with production limited to just 3,000 individually numbered watches.

Jigen is one of gentleman thief Lupin III’s closest allies and has remained a central member of the franchise’s core cast since its earliest stories, becoming best known for his exceptional skill with a revolver, low-brimmed hat and permanently cool-headed attitude.

The character has continued to appear throughout Lupin III’s modern era, including the recent feature film Lupin the IIIRD: The Immortal Bloodline, which received an international home video release in 2026.

PREMICO has repeatedly teamed up with Seiko for limited-edition watches based on popular anime and manga series, including a ONE PIECE model inspired by the Sanyo Shinkansen collaboration and a 20th anniversary watch based on The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Jigen’s watch uses a black-to-gunmetal gradient dial, with gold hour markers shaped to evoke bullets and several smaller details drawn directly from the character.

A bullet impact appears inside the subdial at 12 o’clock, while the 6 o’clock position carries the silhouette of Jigen’s beloved revolver and the 9 o’clock subdial recreates a cylinder loaded with six rounds.

His famous hat is worked more subtly into the dial at 3 o’clock, while the chronograph seconds hand has been designed to resemble Jigen’s necktie as it moves around the face.

The hour markers and main hands use Seiko’s LumiBrite luminous coating so they remain visible in darker surroundings.

Turning the watch over reveals the Lupin III logo, Jigen’s name and an individual edition number marking its place within the 3,000-piece production run.

PREMICO has also designed the presentation box around another of Jigen’s well-known interests, styling the packaging after the label of a whiskey bottle.

The stainless-steel watch measures approximately 47 × 39.8 × 12.8 mm and uses curved Hardlex glass over the dial, with a Japanese quartz movement offering average monthly accuracy of ±15 seconds.

It also provides 10-bar water resistance and is covered by a three-year quality guarantee.

Orders for the new “Lupin III Chronograph Daisuke Jigen Model,” priced at ¥65,780 (approximately $415 / £308), are now open exclusively through PREMICO’s official online store.

The 3,000 limited-edition watches are scheduled to begin shipping from late February 2027.
