Lupin The IIIRD: The Immortal Bloodline Sets International Blu-ray Release Date
The latest animated feature film Lupin The IIIRD: The Immortal Bloodline premiered in Japanese theaters on June 27, 2025.
Directed by Takeshi Koike, who is known for his work on Redline, the film is now preparing for its international release.
In this new adventure, gentleman thief Lupin III and his allies travel to an uncharted island after receiving a mysterious invitation.
After their plane is shot down, the group finds themselves stranded and hunted by the island’s residents as well as familiar enemies from their past.
The primary antagonist is a monstrous immortal being known as Muom, who seeks to end Lupin’s legacy for good.
Lupin must navigate a deadly toxic fog to face his most formidable opponent in a high-stakes escapade.
The North American digital release launched this week, and a physical Blu-ray version is scheduled to follow on July 21, 2025.
This home video release includes several bonus features such as a director and cast post-screening talk, stage greetings, and various teasers and trailers.
The film is produced by Telecom Animation Film and is based on the original manga by Monkey Punch.
The creative team includes scriptwriter Yuya Takahashi, composer James Shimoji, and creative advisor Katsuhito Ishii.
