ONE PIECE’s NBA Collab Officially Returns With New Lakers and Knicks Releases

ONE PIECE’s ongoing collaboration with the NBA has returned with two new releases that put Luffy into the uniforms of two of basketball’s biggest teams.
“S.H.Figuarts ONE PIECE×NBA Monkey D. Luffy -LOS ANGELES LAKERS ver.-” and “S.H.Figuarts ONE PIECE×NBA Monkey D. Luffy -NEW YORK KNICKS ver.-” form the opening pair in a wider collection that will eventually cover six NBA teams.

The two figures were first revealed in March 2026, when Bandai also showed off a newly developed Luffy body created to accommodate basketball poses such as shooting and dribbling.

Each stands approximately 14.5cm tall and includes three pairs of interchangeable hands, two optional expressions, two straw hats, replacement hair parts, a basketball, and a display stand carrying the logo of the respective NBA team.

The Lakers version sees Luffy wearing a Los Angeles Lakers jersey in the team’s purple and gold colors, with the number 5656 used in place of a player number.

The Knicks version instead puts Luffy in a New York Knicks jersey using the team’s blue, orange, and white colors, again carrying the number 5656.

Both figures can be posed handling the included basketball in a range of movements built around the sport, with the new articulation allowing Luffy to recreate shots, dribbles and other on-court actions.

Bandai has also introduced the separate “S.H.Figuarts ONE PIECE×NBA Basketball Goal Set” for use with the collaboration, giving collectors a dedicated court display for the figures.

The approximately 28.5cm-tall set was developed under NBA supervision using real basketball hoops as a reference and includes an official-style basket and backboard with ONE PIECE branding incorporated into the design.

Two A4-sized court sheets are also included and can be connected to create a larger half-court display.

The Lakers and Knicks figures form the first pair in Bandai’s wider six-team S.H.Figuarts lineup, with Golden State Warriors and Chicago Bulls versions of Luffy set to follow next.

Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics editions will then complete the currently announced collection in a later wave.

ONE PIECE and the NBA have expanded their crossover across several different product lines, including a separate “MASTER STARS PIECE” figure collection that has paired characters including Portgas D. Ace and Sabo with NBA teams.
