Gundam ZZ’s New HG Hamma-Hamma Gunpla Kit Opens for Pre-Orders

Pre-orders are now officially open for Bandai’s new HG 1/144 Hamma-Hamma, giving Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ fans the chance to secure the long-awaited modern kit ahead of its 2027 release.
Bandai has also revealed a new collection of product images showing the finished model in much greater detail, including its deployable arms, three-barrel Beam Cannons, shield and updated articulation.

The kit was first announced during the recent “Latest! Gunpla Info Bureau” broadcast, where the Hamma-Hamma was confirmed as one of several major new Gunpla releases planned for early 2027.

The Hamma-Hamma appears in Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ as an experimental Neo Zeon mobile suit used by Mashymre Cello, with its unusual design built around Psycommu-controlled arms and a strong emphasis on ranged combat.

Bandai’s new High Grade recreates those distinctive forearms using a combination of flexible material and lead wires, allowing them to be displayed separated from the main body.
The three-barrel Beam Cannons fitted to each arm can therefore be positioned across a wide range of angles, reproducing the remote attacks used by the Hamma-Hamma in the anime.

Dedicated extension parts and display supports are included for the arms, helping keep the deployed sections stable when creating more elaborate firing poses.
The arm claws themselves are movable, adding another layer of articulation to the already unusual forearm assemblies.

Bandai has also given the model a movable mono-eye, allowing its line of sight to be adjusted depending on the pose.
Pull-out mechanisms have been incorporated into both the arms and hip joints, increasing the available range of movement and making it easier to pose the bulky mobile suit dynamically.

The shield includes mounting points for the Beam Sabers, keeping one of the Hamma-Hamma’s more recognizable equipment arrangements intact.
It also incorporates a sliding rail mechanism inspired by the mine-deployment system seen on the mobile suit, adding another functional detail to the completed model.
The complete accessory selection includes Beam Sabers, the shield, arm-extension parts, dedicated supports for the extended arms, four lead wires, and a sticker sheet.
The HG Hamma-Hamma forms part of the same recent wave of Gunpla reveals as the MGSD 00 Raiser, which has also now opened for pre-orders alongside the reveal of new images highlighting its GN Drives, 0 Raiser combination and oversized GN Sword effects.

Other recent announcements have included the MGEX Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam, FULL MECHANICS Graze Ein, RG Ground Type Gundam and the new PG UNLEASHED Nu Gundam expansion, while Bandai’s completed figure division has launched the ABSOLUTE ACT series with Strike Freedom Gundam.
