Naruto Card Game Confirmed for June 2027 Worldwide Release

Naruto’s upcoming official card game has finally received a worldwide launch window, with a brand-new teaser trailer giving fans their best look yet at the highly anticipated release.
The “NARUTO CARD GAME” is officially set to launch worldwide in June 2027, as confirmed during the “NARUTO: What’s Next?” presentation at New York Comic Con 2026 on October 10.

The announcement was accompanied by a new teaser trailer showcasing more of what fans can expect when the game launches next year, following earlier previews that offered the first official look at its card designs.

Three starter decks have now been confirmed for launch, with each focusing on a different major character from the series: Naruto (ST01), Sasuke (ST02) and Gaara (ST03).

The first booster set, “Enter: NARUTO UZUMAKI!,” will also launch alongside the starter decks in June 2027, featuring brand-new illustrations based on both the original Naruto anime and Naruto Shippuden.

The upcoming release marks another major expansion for Naruto, which has remained one of the world’s most popular anime franchises since its original manga debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999.

Created by Masashi Kishimoto, the series follows Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who dreams of becoming Hokage, eventually expanding into multiple anime adaptations, feature films, video games and the Boruto sequel series.

The card game announcement was only one of several major reveals during the New York Comic Con presentation, which was held on Naruto Uzumaki’s birthday and broadcast worldwide through the official Naruto/Boruto YouTube channel.

The event also opened with the world premiere of a trailer for a completely new Naruto anime, which was officially revealed as an unexpected crossover with the classic ninja series “Ninku”.

The upcoming limited series will bring Naruto together with the 1990s franchise created by Koji Kiriyama, which served as a major source of inspiration for Kishimoto when he began developing his own manga.
The trailer even featured a statement from Kishimoto acknowledging that without Ninku, there would be no Naruto.

The series follows Fusuke, a former member of the Ninku Corps, as he searches for his missing mother in a world recovering from a devastating war, with its combat system combining traditional ninja techniques and karate.

Studio Pierrot also went on to produce the Naruto television anime in 2002 and Naruto Shippuden in 2007, giving the two franchises a shared animation history alongside their creative connection.
Further information about the Naruto x Ninku crossover, including its release date, episode count, and distribution plans, is expected to be announced at a later date.
