Bandai Reveals First Official Look at Naruto Card Game Card Designs Ahead of 2027 Release

Bandai has revealed a major new look at the upcoming Naruto Card Game, sharing fresh gameplay details, its first trailer, physical card previews and a worldwide event roadmap ahead of Gen Con 2026.
The Naruto Card Game is based on Masashi Kishimoto’s hugely popular manga and brings together characters from the Naruto, Naruto Shippuden and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime series into a single trading card game that is planned for a simultaneous worldwide launch in 2027.

The latest reveal gives fans their clearest look yet at how the game will play, introducing the different card types that form the foundation of every deck and highlighting the strategic elements that separate it from previous Naruto card games.

Each deck is built around a single Leader Card that determines its color, with Character Cards forming the core of battles while powerful EX Characters can only be brought into play after meeting specific conditions.

Players will also use Chakra Cards to activate Ninjutsu and other support abilities, while Entry Cards are required to deploy characters onto the battlefield, creating a system that encourages careful planning and resource management.

To begin a match, players need a deck of 50 cards alongside one Leader Card, five Chakra Cards and one Entry Card, with victory achieved by reducing the opposing Leader’s Life Points to zero.

Bandai also confirmed that the game will feature artwork drawn from multiple sources, including scenes from the anime, brand-new illustrations created by a variety of artists and selected artwork taken directly from the original manga.

The worldwide promotional tour begins at Gen Con 2026 on July 30 before continuing later this year with appearances at Bandai Card Games Fest 26-27, New York Comic Con 2026, PAX Australia 2026, Spiel Essen 2026, Paris Games Week 2026 and Lucca Comics & Games 2026.

Bandai has also confirmed that additional information about the Naruto Card Game will be revealed during New York Comic Con 2026, giving fans another major update before the game’s worldwide launch.

The Naruto Card Game is scheduled for a simultaneous global release in 2027.
