First look at HG 1/144 GQuuuuuuX (Endymion Unit Awakened) Gunpla kit revealed
BANDAI SPIRITS has unveiled plans to release a new High Grade (HG) Gunpla model kit based on the final episodes of “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX”.
The reveal of the new “HG 1/144 GQuuuuuuX (Endymion Unit Awakened)” kit follows the recent conclusion of the “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” television anime series.
The kit will allow builders to put together a replica of the “GQuuuuuuX (Endymion Unit Awakened)” form seen in the final episodes.
It announcement follows the recent re-release of three other popular “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” Gunpla kits and the announcement of new kits from the series due to hit the shelves in July.
“Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” is the latest original entry in the venerable “Mobile Suit Gundam” franchise, which first captivated audiences in 1979 and has since grown into a global cultural phenomenon.
The series, which initially premiered as a theatrical film in January 2025 before transitioning to a TV anime broadcast from April to June of the same year, explores an alternate Universal Century timeline.
In this divergent reality, the Principality of Zeon won the One Year War which resulted in a radically different setting when compared to the original series.
The anime centers on protagonist Amate Yuzuriha (nicknamed “Machu”), a high school student who becomes embroiled in underground mobile suit duels known as “Clan Battles,” piloting the prototype gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX.
The “Endymion Unit Awakened” form of the GQuuuuuuX made its appearance in the anime’s twelfth and final episode.
The forthcoming “HG 1/144 GQuuuuuuX (Endymion Unit Awakened)” Gunpla kit will feature key design elements seen in the anime:
- Opening Head Gimmick:
- This feature enables builders to display the mobile suit with its head in an “open” or “awakened” state, mimicking the transformation observed in the final episode.
- Additional Effects for Shoulders and Knees:
- The kit will include parts designed to replicate the dynamic visual effects that appear on the mobile suit’s shoulders and knees during its awakened mode.
The Gunpla kit is classed as a High Grade kit, a designation which indicated it will have a good balance of detail and articulation while offering easy assembly.
The High Grade line’s accessibility makes it a popular choice for a wide range of Gunpla enthusiasts, from beginners to experienced builders.
Specific release dates and pricing details for this new HG kit are yet to be announced by BANDAI SPIRITS.
