Godzilla’s NYCC Exclusive Burning Millennium Figure Officially Opens for Post-Event Sales
Image by James RichardsonAn exclusive figure of Burning Millennium Godzilla is now available for online pre-order in the US, following its debut at New York Comic Con 2026.
The “S.H.MonsterArts BURNING MILLENNIUM GODZILLA” was created as a special convention release, depicting the fiery transformation introduced in the Japanese short film “Fest Godzilla II: Shinjuku Burning”.

The film premiered during Godzilla Fest 2025 on November 3, introducing a new interpretation of the monster based on his appearance in 1999’s Godzilla 2000: Millennium.

Unlike the Burning Godzilla seen in 1995’s Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, this version draws from the Millennium-era design, combining its jagged dorsal fins and heavily textured body with a glowing red appearance.

“Fest Godzilla II: Shinjuku Burning” follows Godzilla as he makes landfall in Tokyo and comes under attack from Japan’s Self-Defense Forces in the streets of Shinjuku.

As the confrontation escalates, his body temperature rises dramatically, eventually transforming him into the Burning Millennium Godzilla featured in Bandai’s new collectible.

For this release, renowned Godzilla sculptor Yuji Sakai oversaw the prototype, sculpting and coloring, capturing the monster’s sharp dorsal plates, layered scales and powerful proportions.

One of the main features is the special paintwork, which uses translucent red coloring across the body to depict the intense heat radiating from Godzilla during his transformation.

The glowing treatment extends to his mouth, giving the impression of energy building inside as he prepares to unleash his devastating atomic breath.

Standing approximately 16 cm tall, the figure also incorporates multiple articulated joints, allowing collectors to display Godzilla in different positions without disrupting the overall silhouette.

Among the possible poses is the dramatic moment from the short film when Godzilla raises his head toward the sky and releases a powerful roar.

A dedicated display base printed with the “Fest Godzilla II: Shinjuku Burning” logo completes the package, providing a matching presentation piece for the special edition.

Godzilla has already received several other major S.H.MonsterArts releases during 2026, including a new figure based on his updated appearance in the upcoming film Godzilla Minus Zero.

That release uses the movie’s official production models as reference and was also developed with sculpting and paintwork by Yuji Sakai.

Bandai has also revisited the franchise’s Millennium era with an S.H.MonsterArts figure based on Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S., alongside a companion release of the upgraded Kiryu Kai from the same 2003 film.

Burning Millennium Godzilla was one of three special collectibles originally offered at New York Comic Con 2026, alongside Dragon Ball GT’s “S.H.Figuarts SUPER SAIYAN 4 SON GOKU -Exclusive Edition-“ and One Piece’s “S.H.Figuarts MONKEY.D.LUFFY -THE RAID ON ONIGASHIMA- -Exclusive Edition-“.
