Razer and Sanrio Reveal First Look at New Official Kuromi Gaming Earbuds
Image by James RichardsonRazer and Sanrio have revealed a first look at a new pair of official gaming earbuds that transform one of their most popular inner ear ranges into a Kuromi inspired peripheral.
The new “Razer Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed – Kuromi Edition” is Razer’s first ever pair of Kuromi-themed gaming earbuds and is being released as part of the celebrations surrounding her birthday this October.

Kuromi has become one of Sanrio’s most popular characters since debuting as My Melody’s mischievous rival in 2005, with her black jester hood, pink skull and rebellious personality helping her stand apart from many of the company’s traditionally softer designs.

Those darker fashion influences have been especially visible across her recent merchandise, including Sanrio’s newly announced “All Black Kuromi Mode Series,” which gives her separate Gothic, Girly and Casual looks across plushies, accessories and beauty items.

Her October 31 birthday is also being marked with the separate “Kuromi’s ♡ Birthday Party ♡” collection, which takes the character in a different direction with an elaborate idol-inspired outfit shared with My Melody.

Razer’s new earbuds use Kuromi’s signature palette, using lilac and black across a charging case shaped to look like her head.
The earbuds themselves continue the theme with Kuromi’s skull emblem printed onto each stem, providing a smaller character inspired detail that avoids covering the entire exterior in artwork.

Razer has confirmed that the “Kuromi Edition” will retain the Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed range’s low-latency HyperSpeed Wireless connection for use across PCs, mobile devices, handheld systems and compatible consoles.
This October will also see another Sanrio gaming collaboration expand, with Razer firming up the release date for its previously announced Pompompurin headset.

The “Razer Kraken Kitty V2 BT – Pompompurin Edition” headset, which was first revealed in August with a tentative October launch window, will now officially release on October 2 through Razer.com and RazerStore locations in select countries and October 4 in the US via Target.

The headset joins an existing Pompompurin keyboard, mouse and mouse mat, with those three accessories also set to expand beyond their original Target-exclusive US launch earlier this year, becoming available directly through Razer and selected retailers in the US and other countries from October 2.

The “Razer Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed – Kuromi Edition” is scheduled to launch through Razer.com and selected RazerStore locations on October 13, 2026, with Razer yet to announce pricing or confirm availability for every individual region.
