Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft have announced that the fighting game Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO will be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is the latest installment in the series known in the West as Budokai Tenkaichi, a line of 3D arena fighters celebrated for capturing the high-speed, destructive battles of the original anime.

The game first launched for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC in October of 2024.
This new release will bring the graphically intensive title to Nintendo’s platforms for the first time.

The game features a massive roster of playable characters from across the entire Dragon Ball saga, each with their own signature abilities, transformations, and techniques.
Its gameplay is defined by fast-paced, three-dimensional combat that stays true to the anime, with high-impact visuals and authentic moves like beam clashes and planet-razing ultimate attacks.

The game includes a variety of modes for both online and offline play, allowing players to challenge others online to test their skills or play with friends offline.
A story mode allows players to conquer action-packed battles from the original story, with the ability to experience key moments and cutscenes from the perspectives of eight different characters.

A unique feature of the game is a creation mode that allows players to set up their own dream story battles.
Players can recreate their favorite fights from the series or invent new ones, and then share their creations with other fans around the world.

The worldwide release of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch will take place on Friday, the 14th of November, 2025, with a Japanese release one day earlier on the 13th of November.
