Kotobukiya Announces New The Apothecary Diaries Maomao OSHI WORKS Statue
Kotobukiya has officially opened pre-orders for a new figure based on the popular anime series The Apothecary Diaries.
The “OSHI WORKS Maomao Figure” captures the main character from the series in a detailed, non-scale sculpt.
The OSHI WORKS figure line centers its lineup around the concept of “Oshi,” a Japanese term that refers to one’s favorite character, while maintaining accessible pricing for collectors.
The Apothecary Diaries is adapted from a light novel series penned by Japanese author Natsu Hyūga and was animated by TOHO animation STUDIO and OLM.
The story follows Maomao, a young woman from the pleasure district with a keen mind for deduction and extensive pharmacological knowledge, who is unexpectedly sold into the imperial harem as a low-ranking servant where she must navigate the power struggles of the court.
This non-scale pre-painted figure stands approximately 20 cm tall and faithfully captures her signature green and magenta outfit from the series, utilizing detailed modeling to render the flowing drapery and realistic wrinkles of her clothes.
Details such as her low twin-tail hairstyle, fabric ribbons, and intricate hair ornaments are also fully reproduced.
The figure’s base features a magnetic connection on the side that allows it to link with other products in the OSHI WORKS line, making it a perfect display companion for the simultaneously revealed “Jinshi” figure.
The “OSHI WORKS Maomao Figure” is priced at 8,800 yen (approx. $57 USD/£45 GBP) and pre-orders can now be placed via reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan.
The official release/shipping for the figure is scheduled for November 2026.
