New Gundam SEED FREEDOM ASTRAY Gunpla Kit Revealed by Bandai

Bandai has offered fans the best look yet at a brand new Master Grade Gunpla model kit based on a mobile suit from the “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ASTRAY” spin-off project.
The “MG 1/100 Gundam Liberty Astray Red Frame” thoroughly recreates a newly designed variant of the iconic Junk Guild mobile suit using a wealth of entirely new molded parts.

Master Grade models are produced at a 1/100 scale and are highly regarded for their complex internal skeletal frames that allow for exceptional detail and articulation.

The Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ASTRAY series expands upon the universe established in the recent blockbuster animated film, introducing new localized conflicts and heavily customized mobile suits.

This new iteration of the Red Frame is built upon a newly engineered internal frame structure that is designed to achieve peak human-like articulation and flexibility.
This advanced engineering allows builders to pose the machine in dynamic, expressive martial arts stances that the Red Frame lineage is famous for.

The internal structure also incorporates the highest number of interlocking armor gimmicks ever featured in the history of the Master Grade line.
As the limbs bend, the exterior armor panels slide and shift in tandem with the inner frame to expose the mechanical details underneath while preventing the parts from colliding.

The machine comes equipped with an updated shield and beam rifle that incorporate newly molded components to reflect its modern design.
Also included are the mobile suit’s signature physical katana blades, the Gerbera Straight and the Tiger Pierce.

These detailed swords feature a brand-new original gimmick that allows them to be directly mounted onto the beam rifle for combined weapon configurations.
The kit provides dedicated wrist parts designed specifically to hold the weapon sheaths, expanding the variety of dynamic display options available to fans.

Rounding out the accessory list are two beam sabers, a set of interchangeable hand parts, joint connectors for action bases, traditional foil seals, and a sheet of water slide decals for added mechanical realism.
The “MG 1/100 Gundam Liberty Astray Red Frame” is priced at 8,250 yen (approx. $52 USD / £41 GBP) and is scheduled to launch at general retail in December 2026.

Pre-orders may now be available from some hobby goods retailers, depending on regional availability.
