Sanrio Reveals New Gyaru-Inspired Hello Kitty Lingerie and Loungewear Collection

Sanrio and PEACH JOHN have revealed a new Hello Kitty collaboration that gives the iconic character a Y2K-inspired gyaru makeover across lingerie, loungewear and accessories.
The second “HELLO KITTY × PEACH JOHN” collection combines tanned Hello Kitty artwork with leopard print, hearts, bows and lace across four limited-edition designs inspired by Japanese Heisei-era fashion.

PEACH JOHN is a Japanese lingerie and lifestyle brand established in 1994, with its range spanning underwear, loungewear, apparel and beauty products alongside regular character and fashion collaborations.

This latest collection leans heavily into the look associated with gyaru fashion during the 1990s and 2000s, pairing its tanned Hello Kitty artwork with bold animal prints and heavily decorative details throughout.

PEACH JOHN carries that styling across four very different pieces, ranging from lace lingerie and fluffy homewear to a character-shaped travel pouch:
- HELLO KITTY Lace Bra Set – ¥4,490 (approximately $28 / £21)

A pink wired bra and matching underwear set built around original embroidered lace featuring tanned Hello Kitty artwork, hearts and the “HELLO KITTY” logo, with additional floral lace and ribbon details throughout.

The bra includes removable padding and will be offered across A to E cup sizes.

- HELLO KITTY Whiply Pajamas – ¥7,980 (approximately $50 / £37)

PEACH JOHN’s long-running Whiply loungewear is reworked in pink and black versions, pairing soft chenille-knit tops with leopard-print pants covered in Hello Kitty faces and bows.

Jacquard Hello Kitty artwork and ribbon appliqué embroidery add further character details to the tops, while the material is designed to feel soft directly against the skin.

- HELLO KITTY Cardigan Three-Piece Set – ¥8,480 (approximately $54 / £40)

A brown feather-yarn knit set combines a cardigan, short pants and leg warmers with leopard-print detailing, a Hello Kitty patch and ribbon-shaped buttons.

The coordinated three-piece design leans most heavily into the collection’s retro gyaru theme, extending its styling from the upper body through to the leg warmers.

- HELLO KITTY Multi Lingerie Pouch – ¥3,300 (approximately $21 / £15)

A brown Hello Kitty face-shaped pouch recreates the tanned character using satin and embroidery, finished with an oversized leopard-print bow patterned with smaller Kitty faces and ribbons.

Its structured interior is designed to help protect bras during storage or travel, although it can also be used for cosmetics, accessories and other smaller belongings.
The gyaru influence also has precedent within Hello Kitty fashion, with Sanrio previously teaming the character with influential magazine egg for an Avail clothing collection in 2025.

Other 2026 collaborations have taken Hello Kitty in very different directions, including an affordable designer accessories collection with PAUL & JOE and her second luxury collection with MCM.

The second limited-edition “HELLO KITTY × PEACH JOHN” collection will launch in Japan on November 11, 2026 through the official PEACH JOHN online store and participating PEACH JOHN locations nationwide.
The online collaboration page is scheduled to open at 12:00 PM JST on launch day, followed by a livestream introducing the collection at 12:30 PM JST.
