MCM Announces New Luxury Hello Kitty Fashion Collection

Luxury fashion house MCM has unveiled a brand-new collaboration with Hello Kitty, bringing the globally loved Sanrio character back for a second premium capsule collection following the success of the pair’s first collaboration in 2024.
Hello Kitty first debuted in 1974 and has become one of Sanrio’s most recognizable characters, appearing across countless collaborations spanning fashion, collectibles, gaming and lifestyle products while remaining a global pop culture icon for more than five decades.

The new collection combines MCM’s signature craftsmanship and travel-inspired luxury aesthetic with Hello Kitty’s timeless charm, creating a fresh lineup designed around self-expression and contemporary street fashion.

Unlike the previous collaboration, this second collection expands well beyond accessories by introducing an extensive range of ready-to-wear apparel alongside MCM’s iconic leather goods.

One of the collection’s defining features is the use of monochrome Hello Kitty artwork paired with MCM’s instantly recognizable Visetos monogram, creating a cleaner and more sophisticated appearance across the range.

The apparel collection also incorporates MCM’s “MCM LXXVI 1976” anniversary branding, celebrating the company’s 50th anniversary with subtle commemorative details woven into selected designs.

The accessories lineup includes backpacks, shoppers, nylon bags, wallets and AirPods Pro cases, combining everyday practicality with playful Hello Kitty-inspired styling while retaining MCM’s signature cognac Visetos finish.

The ready-to-wear range expands the collaboration even further with denim jackets, denim jeans, track jackets, track pants, polo shirts and T-shirts that blend luxury fashion with modern streetwear influences.

While MCM has yet to reveal the complete product lineup or individual pricing, the preview images released so far suggest this could become one of the year’s most sought-after collaborations for both Hello Kitty fans and luxury fashion collectors alike.

The collection will launch through MCM stores across Japan, including MCM GINZA HAUS 1, MCM Tobu Ikebukuro, Kintetsu Abeno Harukas, Osaka Takashimaya, Daimaru Umeda, Mitsui Outlet Park Jazz Dream Nagashima and Rinku Premium Outlets.

A series of limited-time pop-up stores will also accompany the launch, including Kansai International Airport from July 30 through September 29, JR Nagoya Takashimaya from July 22 through August 4, Daimaru Shinsaibashi from August 5 through August 11 and Matsuzakaya Nagoya from August 5 through August 25.
The new MCM x Hello Kitty capsule collection will be available through MCM’s official online store and participating MCM retail locations beginning July 29, 2026, with individual product pricing expected to be announced closer to launch.
