Orders Open for New Zoids: Genesis RMZ-022 Murasame Liger Model Kit

Takara Tomy’s high-end hobby brand T-SPARK has opened pre-orders for a new model kit based on the hit anime series Zoids: Genesis as part of its 1/100 scale articulated plastic model kit line, REALIZE MODEL.
The RMZ-022 Murasame Liger recreates the anime appearance of the lion-type Zoid piloted by protagonist Ruuji Familon.

In the original series, this lightweight, high-mobility Zoid is excavated from the seabed near Mirodo Village and features a top speed of 310 km/h alongside a unique “Evolut” system that allows it to instantly transform and regenerate.

The “Evolut” system enables the machine to evolve into forms like the Hayate Liger and Mugen Liger, and it can even completely regenerate its body from the brink of destruction as long as the cockpit remains completely intact.

The design of the model kit utilizes multiple molded-color parts to replicate the original color scheme.

Its overall aesthetic has been fully reworked based on past media appearances, CG models, and previous toy releases.

To allow for dynamic running, leaping, and roaring poses, the body incorporates multi-axis articulation, ball joints, and pull-out connections.

The limbs can achieve natural outward and inward stances, while three points of articulation in the feet help maintain stable ground contact.

For weaponry, the kit features chest-positioned cannons and a back-mounted Murasame Blade that can slice through virtually any object in the anime.

The blade can be deployed upward, forward, or to either side using a movable support arm and a semicircular rail base around the waist.

The blade piece can also be detached for individual display.

The model includes an opening cockpit hatch and two same-scale pilot figures representing Ruuji and a general soldier.

The RMZ-022 Murasame Liger is priced at 7,480 yen (approx. $47 USD/£35 GBP), tax included.

Pre-orders for the model kit are now open via reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan, with shipping scheduled for late December 2026.
